I was just at my BestBuy and I saw that we've finally received the 160GB HDD system. It was surprising to see that it was more than $399.99... or even 499.99.

There's two stacks side by side - One stack of $399.99 80GB and then the $519.99 160GB w/game.

I don't know... I'm completely baffled that it would cost that much. I think people would rather see a 20GB for $299 than the other way around.

Do you think this will help or hurt sales?

It comes with a game that they're only charging you an extra 20 for. The system itself would be 499.

And I dont see how this would hurt sales considering theres a 80gb option for just 399. Sony cannot afford a 299 version even if it had an only 10gb hard drive. If you cant afford it and are too lazy to work a few extra hours for it then good riddance. The rest of us will enjoy the great games out now and beyond

... i actually have all three current gen consoles. i'm complaining for everyone else who doesn't.

i know they obviously can't drop the price to 299 - it was an exaggeration - but to upgrade at the cost of 100 seems excessive in a time where price is playing a huge part in everyone's lives right now.

and i was going to say that uncharted for $20 doesn't seem like that much of a stretch, but then i saw that they are still selling it for $60.

WHO CARES ABOUT THE HDD
just drop the price sony at least by 50 dollars max 100
and sales will jump like 600-700k a week
