Forums - Sony - The Official Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 thread

I find physical skills to be the most effective at decimating enemies in this game. I had trouble till I fused a nice Strength Oni with auto-tarukaja, auto-masuku, atom smasher, kill rush, cruel attack, endure, counter and resist physical.

My MC is really a beast now. Only a few enemies are resistant to phys attacks and you sometimes get a second chance to decimate enemies if a multi-hit phys attack crits even only one of the enemy horde.

I find it much more effective to save SP for healing any killing enemies resistant to phys attacks. You also last a lot longer without having to pay that armed robber fox lol.

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

I was surprise to see him there. I wonder what other references will be there.

How hard is the sauna boss?

So so, the battle is tough and long, but I beat him without dying. Just focus on the left enemy first. The thing that surprised me is that I ran out of SP with some characters, that might give you a clue on how long it is. Still, it's easier than the castle boss.

Also, bring not only tea for poison, but sedative to cure fear too

I'll use me patra. I fought him during my lunch break, and he killed me. Guess the characters are a little underleveled.

Just got the Persona 4 social link expansion pack in the mail today :D That thing is selling for almost triple the price at ebay.

Edit: The calendar that came with the pack tells you when the holidays or special events happen. That's pretty cool.

I beat the Marukyu dungeon. The damn Shadow Teddie battle is insanely long, 20 minutes easily, it's not hard, I was never in a close death state, but it has an insane amount of HP. Plus, as always, I ran out of curative items, this time of Washmouts, I really need to stockpile everything.

Finally maxed my first social link (Yosuke). I think that the number of bonuses you get for developing the link with your party members are really awesome (or a bit too much, depending on how you look at it, specially the level 9 bonus).

My Rakshasa keeps kicking ass, now I got Auto-Tarukaja to complement. Sadly I'll have to fuse it when its level is too low, but as of now I love it, Counter+Auto Taru+Gale Slash+Brain Sting (or something like that)+Rakunda+Dekunda+Dodge Phys is awesome

My look of the game hasn't changed a bit, still my personal GOTY

Void Quest boss is a huge bastard....trying to level up a bit to see if I can make it easier, but as of yet it is the first boss to give me any real trouble once I've prepared for it.

Haven't met it, is it the optional boss of the sauna?

Nah, next Dungeon's final shadow bossy like thing (after the strip club). Sauna's Optional Boss was actually not too bad, heck even the strip club boss optional was pretty easy, none of them are as hard as that first optional boss for some reason.

Just beat the sauna boss. I hate having a job. It gets on my way :( Added X-play review.

Does anybody know how to find out what skills the enemy has? I want to know who has hama or mudo so that I can beat them first or run away.

Think you should be able to now that you have Rise as your support. By doing the usual analysis move that you did with Teddy she can actually tell you all of the enemy's skills.

Ah ok. Thanks :)

You guys had me worried about the tea. I only had to use it once.
