According to him. Instead of being congratulatory, is this going to be another thread ruined by fanboys raged, like Colonels thread? I see tons of PS3 fanbots saying "MGS4, LBP, R2 GOTY." So what? It's not that big of a deal.

According to me. I figured anyone could know I was speaking amoung 360 games only, and at that, in my opinion(and in many peoples opinions for the 360)

You should get Gears of War 2 and Left 4 Dead, both are very fun games.

We're talking about what games a new X360 owner should get. Shadowblind is entitled to his opinion. In his opinion ToV and L4D are GOTY material. Same way I think that Fallout 3 is GOTY-worthy. That's my opinion.

Everyone's pretty much mentioned all the big titles so far, I'd also say pick up Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts if ur lookin for something a little different and that won't put a big dent in your wallet either.  Also, the new Call of Duty (World at War) is gonna be on sale at Target next week, thats a great reccommendation if you like playing online and co-op shooters... Gears of War 2 is also good for that.

And definitely get yourself an Xbox Live Gold subscription card... i really don't know why people complain about it, it's only $50 for a year, or $38 if you order it on amazon.com, so thats roughly $3 a month for what is arguably the best online gaming service out there aside from maybe the Steam network on the PC.

Another thing I thought to ask, the 360 is backwards compatible? I remember when it came out, that it would be BC with some of their Xbox games or mainly bigger selling popular games. Is that still the case or is it now all games released on the first Xbox?
