I played quite a bit of the game and so far, I am disappointed. Awesome Sonic levels are outnumbered by tedious and boring Warehog levels. I think the soundtrack is actually pretty good unlike the buttrock-filled Sonic games of the past.

The Werehog actually isn't that bad and definitely not bad enough to offset the greatness of the Sonic levels which are totally awesome. While there are far more main Werehog levels than Sonic levels, there are plenty more Sonic missions. Getting S ranks is much harder in the Sonic levels, so you spend more time playing them. In the Werehog levels I got an S rank in most levels the first time I played them. Progressing through the game feels annoying at times though, because there are always at least three Werehog levels right after each other, one of them takes between five and ten minutes to go through, while a Sonic level on average lasts about five minutes. |
So would you recommend Sonic Unleashed, Rol?
Keeping in mind that I enjoyed both Sonic Adventures just for the Sonic/Shadow portions.

They control fluidly and, although they don't have near enough challenge to them, can be played over and over and still be fun. The best parts of these levels are when they switch to the sideways view. |
Well, in all honesty, the story was expected and destined to be all ****ed up. It is, after all, a sonic game.
And on topic, The Werehog levels weren't all that bad. Many people just considered them far to slow for a sonic game.

Remember, there are no stupid questions. Just stupid people- Mr Garrison

I assume you speaking about the Wii version yes?
I have heard there are more werehog leve;s in the Wii version. Is just there are more required werehog levels?

The best levels (Sonic/Shadow) in the Sonic Adventure games made up for only 1/3 of both titles, it's about the same in Sonic Unleashed. However, SU has by far the best levels out of any 3D Sonic game (speed and design) and the Werehog levels aren't as bad as the Knuckles/Big/Rouge stages from the SA games. If you play for S ranks, the time spent on Sonic levels increases, because they are actually challenging, while the Werehog levels should be S ranked on the second time you play a level. That is, if you even need another try. The biggest problem of SU is that you have to play several Werehog levels after each other which can take about half an hour. But overall, it's a pretty good game. Even if you hate the Werehog, the game has to be played for the great Sonic levels. |
Thank you then, sir. Sega owes one more sale to you, then.
Um... But the Wii level is missing 2 levels... Sky City and something else...
That's what might have "ruined it" specifically for the Wii
Everyone says the Werehog ruined the game in general
Apparently the 360 one is hard to control...

The required Day stages takes 4 or 5 minutes per country. The required Night stages takes like...20-30 minutes.
The quantity of the day and night stages are almost equal. Except, Act 2 and Act 3 of the Day stages are half assed attempts to be new acts. Act 2 is just COLLECT RINGS IN SOME SECTION FROM ACT 1 (admitly fun, but still half ass). And Act 3 is basically Act 1 modified with stupid conditions like "DONT BREAK THE JARS!" (Which was lame).
This isn't to say the game is awful, it's actually pretty fun if you can enjoy the Werehog stages. But I really think Sega (or atleast Dimps) could of have done much better with this game.
Ridiculous !
So many people who didn't play the game and repeat Ign shit...
I don't like sonic 06(too many bugs)
But this sonic is excellent(I was surprised by the music far more better than all 3D sonic : genesis feeling... and the other hated part of the adventure is not so bad, with sometimes good ideas)
I don't care if some" gamers" trust pathetic articles.
But they should buy a personality...
