sad how some of u people think "omg the most inexpensive console is doing well during the holidays at a time of recession, it even is beating the ps3!!"

its falling way behind from the ps2, and the ps3 is way ahead in terms of time on teh market..... just thought id make a thread on this since im noticing many people think the 360 is doing good

What kind of dichotomous world do you live in? There are other options between "PS2" and "fail."

The PS2 was the single most successful home console in history. Not every console needs to live up to its mark, any more than Tropic Thunder had to live up to Dark Knight's box office to be a success.

The 360 has outsold the XBox, and is easily going to increase MS's market share in all major markets. It has become the console of choice for "traditional" American gamers. There can be little doubt that the console has simply improved MS's positioning for the next generation, and that's all it could reasonably be expected to do. Granted, a good amount of that gained ground comes from Sony's blunder, but that's the nature of competition.

yes he is trolling, but as annoying as it may be, he is speaking the truth. look, nobody can seriousely say the 360 is a better system than the ps3. infact, it is only a better deal. it looks as though people are becoming scewed by the stats. the 360 had a year advance to build sales. plus the 360 had the additional time to create the ability to offer themselves at such a less price. i do admit that the 360 has a nice library of games, but for the most part they have the same library catelog as the ps3. they have a larger install base, so for their sake, they should sell more games. hell, sometimes i buy a 360 game. anyway, with all the paid dlc, paid timed exclusives, warranteed 360's that fail, they may not be doing such a fine job after all. instead everybody focuses on all the 199.00 arcade models they are selling. imagine for a moment that sony was selling the ps3 for 199.00, could you believe for a moment that the ps3 wouldn't be selling just as well, or even better than the ps3? well could or couldn't you? be honest.
