I've just been looking around getting ideas for Christmas and noticed so many places with DS and Wiis sold out and empty shelves where the games should be, especially the DS games which were literally scattered around on 3/4 empty shelving.

Yet again I'm amazed by the sales of these consoles and also saddened that Super Smash Brothers Brawl seemed to still be available in large quantities yet no sign of any Mario Kart, It's a shame more people don't give it a chance.

After seeing the numbers this week, I kind of assumed the Wii was supply constrained. I mean, really, how much more than 400k units will be on shelves in a single week?!

As far as Kart vs Brawl goes, Brawl has had fine sales. I think it's the better game if you have friends locally, but if you and your mate want to get a round of online gaming in then Kart is the better game. Its online is fantastic.
