As always, graphics have never made or broke a game for me, however gameplay does. If they managed to deliver platforming the way the other PoPs have done then this game is a definite buy for me, and it seems that it is. The only thing I don't like is that chick. The prince has ALWAYS been alone. Yeah there was Farah and stuff but she never actually worked with you to fight and allow you to directly solve puzzles.

Except for all of those sequences in the first and third games where Farah and the Prince DID fight together.

There's a difference between fighting together and Farah appearing out of thin air to save your ass, which I don't remember happening even once.

Funny how I only talked about the fighting then, eh?

And Farah using her magic to save your ass isn't really all that different from the magic of the Dagger of Time saving your ass.

Actually yes it is, the dagger only saved my ass when I rewinded to a certain place, allowing me to fuck up the section over and over until I was out of sand. Doesn't seem like that with Elika around.

Outside of losing control over where you start again, how is it that different? You fuck up, Elika brings you back to the beginning of that platforming segement. Since this is all about rhythymic flows, this change makes sense.

Around the Network

The style does seem really good, it just seems like a nice relaxing game, that you can sit back and enjoy

Ubisoft Montreal is simply one of the best developers around (even if they have some annoying habits unskippable cutscenes?)

PoP1 was one of the best games of its type esp. because the character had an incredible variety of moves (and because the tale of 1001 nights style gameplay was really amazing) So this was one of the few games I preordered and I am glad this didn't backfire.
