Forums - Sales - Prediction: RE5 will be the worst selling RE in Japan

they need to make an old school RE for old fans like me...Static camera and everything.

This prolly wont happen until ps4 or Xbox 720...on psn and xbox live...ala bionic command rearmed.

I'm not going to weigh in on the RE vs. RE4 argument here

But the puzzles in that series have always been the worst thing about it and 'm glad that their convoluted nonsense is gone.

To be on-topic: who knows?

thats wrong. RE1 had amazing puzzles since it was really hard to figure out what the designers were thinking. the paintings with the age...and the crows...come on...thats gold.

Puzzles degraded as sequels got made. RE4 did not have any puzzles as far as i know...

No, no they were pretty awful to start with, and the REmake is one of the worst offenders of this.

And RE4 actually did have puzzles, they were just usually very simple and intuitive so you didn't have to go "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING, GAME DESIGNER?"

And I like for them to not break my suspension of disbelief every ten minutes.

Different strokes?

Cool enough to stab myself in the eye

Re4 was great, i have a feeling Re5 won't be as great as they changed the controls ala Gears of war, Not happy

I base this on the fact that it's borrowing several themes from western games and the land of the rising sun "ain't having that."

Thoughts?

RE5 can get close to Code Veronica (400k) between both the X360 and PS3 versions. It'll be close either way, but it's possible for it to still beat out RE:CV which is the worst selling main-line Resident Evil.

The west is a totally different story. I think it'll be one of the biggest ever made....Will do great on the X360 in North America (where I think that it could sell 2m units alone)

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
