Forums - Sony - Just beat Uncharted: Drake's Fortune for the PS3...just wow!!!

Yeah, it's a great game. I'm actually half way through replaying it now.

But! it does have plenty of flaws.

- It's linear to the point of death. Literally: if you dare stray from the preselected path, Drake auto-dies. It looks so bizarre for him to die when he drops two feet onto a patch of ground the game doesn't want you to touch.

- The boss fight at the end. Ouch. It was just so terrible

- Technical issues. It suffers from major screen-tearing and texture popin.

- Enemies all look the same. I wish they'd used a few more character models for the enemies.

- The cover system. Whilst it works well most of the time, there are some points where you can't move where you want too whilst remaining stuck to the cover. For example: you can't move around a corner whilst remaining stuck to a wall.

- Too much shooting, IMO. Needed moar adventuring/exploring, and less shooting.

Still, hopefuly these'll be fixed in Uncharted 2. ^_^

Just started playing Uncharted.

Love it.

I absolutely LOVED this game!

It's my favorite new IP this gen along with LBP, and the only games I've liked better are MGS4 and LBP (not counting Twilight Princess and Okami :P).

I really liked the music, particularly the song that plays during the start menu.

My only complaint was that there was a tad too much shooting. I would've loved to explore the world more. It's absolutely beautiful.

Hopefully they'll make the sequel a bit more open, like the transition from Jak & Daxter to Jak II.

@DMeisterJ

Of course you are just playing it. I gave it to you :P
And I do miss it though!! I want it back for the trophies!!!

Also might I add to this review the turning twist towards the end of the game is weird.
There is a lot of shooting in the game. I like the shooting segments that's why I'm not complaining. That's why they call it an action/adventure game. Not a platforming game.lol

I expect major improvements in the sequel.

Now on to beating GT5: Prologue and then I can finally purchase Valkyrie Chronicles!!!!

@makingmusic

I think I did say the PS3 didn't have any games, when i bought the PS3 for the first time. There I admit it. That was because I liked the 360 also. So I clearly liked both, so I ended up owning both and look behold the PS3 is getting software, that is to my liking.

And this is my final and last time I will ever change my name. It's xlost7 to stay. I'm in a clan. It's called "xlost" the details on this clan is scarce. Sooner I will have my buddies from church and from work be on VGCHartz. We will take over!!! MUUUUHHAAHAHA.lol jk

But just add me :)

Wait..Xlost your...him? The dude that had a ps3 and I played reistance with?
