Forums - Sony - See Sony's motion controller in action...

@Xen

Everybody wants, who could? Anyway Nintendo has a huge carte blanche, IF MS and Sony are going to fight back at new territories in next gen. Motion-sensing controllers only - that's just not serious, not enough for a direct competition.

Haha.. I wonder if this is what they'll go with Next gen. If they do, it's time to kick Nintendo's ass once more... as they can't fight on the same battlefield with MS and Sony.

You cannot really think this.

Well, there's no chance really of this being good for the PS3 imo, Firstly the price won't get the wii market, then the controls + HD grahpics won't make it good for developers, adding to it the fact that it won't come with a PS3 and probably higher costs then the wii motes. It'd fail at the moment...
However Sony are good at doing all the Nitty stuff, like rumble, analogue sticks better imo, so no doubt when this is released, if the PS goes back to it's rout, the PS4 might be a run away again

I think I like it! In terms of tracking its an obvious improvement over Wii Motion + so they aren't trailing the competition.

Unfortunately its destined to fail as MakingMusic476 posted the article.

Tease.

Looks cool, but more complicated games will be very hard to make for controller like that. So if one wants to make games for controller like that options are... lose more money in development phase or... make simpler games. You can guess which one it will be.

improvement over Wii M+? we haven’t seen allot of it so we don’t know how good it is but from impressions it tracks every movement you do.

Motion sensing controls are a stupid gimmick. I wouldn't want to have to flail my arms around to play a game. I'm glad that Sony would never do anything lame like that.

Do I sound like a group of people used to?

Now it's cool because the the mote would be black I suppose.

Also I am trying to hold in my laughter over the Nintendo is about to get their asses kicked stuff.

The Wii doesn't look like it tracks movement as accurately, even with Motion +. But to be honest this copying is stupid, I think there are some obvious flaws with the Wiimote style interface and just copying Nintendo is replicating those flaws. They really should look to design something which either incorperates the strengths of the old with the Mote or create something which is new and combines the strengths of both, for example Sony have been working on a control interface for the whole hand.

Do you really want to start that fight? Once it starts, I don't know if it can be stopped.

1:1 is what the WM+ does and that’s what this controller is doing and you can’t have better than 1:1
