Sony would do better to give us all the price cut we are all asking for than more adverting!!!!



PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

Currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, Halo ODST and Dragon Age Origins is next game

That this article has to be written to reassure about the sales of the game is evidence enough that the sales are not meeting expectations. Don't remember anything being written to say Halo 3, Galaxy, Mario Kart, Call of Duty 4, etc were not doing too bad.

That's still much less than most people expected, especially with the game being bundled.

The problem with LBP is that some people predicted REALLY high, and others jumped on it from the moment it sold "modestly" (to put it that way >_>).

That's why the TS probably felt the need to underline that it did okay.  Not super like the fanboys hoped, not bad like the anti-fanboys hoped.

$1 million budget ads ?

That is not a lot to promote the LBP-Bundle... but this is how it might be saved... by being bundled.

 

With a 0.8 million copies sold, if it was a 360 games it would be at the 63th place in the charts...

For such an important  (and cool) game, it is a very bad start to me...

But to me the game is not responsible, the console is.

It is not selling bad, but there is still a huge gap between actual sales and expectations.

 

Its actually in the top 25... some games are on the list multiple times

Look at Gears 2, it got a silver, gold and platinum... same with CoD:WaW (360 version)

Is the $1 million for the U.K. only? or U.S.??

$1 million for U.K. is a decent size campaign... $1 million for U.S. gets you a week on Spike TV..

People are buying other games first, then they will get LBP for christmas, that I am certain off(atleast my friends, and the gamers on GT).

Are you somewhat subtly bitter that it's not a 360 game?  And Banjo is selling like pancakes right?

 

For a "NEW IP" it's good considering it's also not a shooter. 0.8m in a month. Not bad! If you're talking about stellar sales I'd got nothing against for such exclusives on 360(Halo, Gears, Fable etc.).
