Yea that list is nice but it doesn't mean much to the masses.  They need a big name like GTA, Halo, Mario, Zelda, MGS, or Final Fantasy and they don't have it.  It's hard to market a system with a bunch of no name games. 

 Sorry if I feel a little bit cynical but do you actualy think that anyone of those game above will move enough units to fight Wii? It doesn't matter if it is for xbox360 or PS3. Ratchet and clank might do it, or Halo3. But against that Nintendo has SMG and SSBB plus a better price. Both PS3 and Xbox360 needed GTA4 to move enough units to fight Nintendo. More important they needed the GTA crowd.

Damn my predictions for this year is going to be so far away.

I won't disagree that any of those PS3 games listed are good games will be liked, but how many of those are coming out in November-January? I know the 360 has Mass Effect, but what does the PS3 have? Those three months are the most important months. By the time November rolls around Lair, Halo3, and Heavenly Sword are going to be old news.

Also, I didn't think UT3 had a release date?  And when does Ratchet and Clank release?  It's still a pretty niche game but it will at least do something.

That ruined MS "best holiday in video game history". They still have Halo 3, I just wish they make up for the delay and polish the game real good.

 I guess you mean 2007 but yes...Wii wins thisholiday season if they can ship enough. With that I belive that they will win the whole thing.

Even though 360 has halo, and is now even more likely to beat the PS3 this x-mas, a dela may mean lots of consumers delay getting a next gen console. If they wait til ps3 has MGS and final fantasy, they'll be much more likely to go with sony than if they were buying now.

 I do think GTA4 is more a system seller for 360 than PS3 for the exclusive content...

MGS4 is the big boy in that list.... KZ2... i'll wait to see more of it to judge.... but it's taking the right direction... but it doesn't have proved of having all the quality required yet to make it a real sys seller.... especially when you see the first one....

but at the end that news is a pain in the ass for everybody who didn't want to wait lol... ho well I guess my wallet will be happy 

The only thing I don't like about this is the fact that Nintendo's new IP, Disaster : Day of Crisis, was likely to launch somewhere in that same time frame, and now it's essentially being sent to die. :(

 I really don't think any of those games have the proven selling power of stuff like Halo, Smash Bros or Mario. I mean look at Lair, everyone hyped it up to be the killer PS3 app, but now it's taking blow after blow and will probably become a forgetten title that only the current PS3 userbase bought.

 The games you listed are good and whatnot, but non of them will sell a $600 system. Especially when people can play games like Halo, Smash Bros and Mario for much cheaper. I don't think PS3 stands a chance until 2008, which I'll admit is going to be a very strong year for the console, but with no real chance to claim anything from the Xmas 2007 sales PS3 is going to be very far lagging behind.
