These numbers seem right on track to me.

When the 80GB PS3 bundles start selling Black Friday and beyond, the PS3 should look a lot more attractive to holiday buyers than it does now. $400 for a 80GB vanilla PS3 doesn't seem like a bargain compared to $300 for a 60GB XB360 and a couple decent games. $400 for a 80GB PS3, plus a game and a BD movie will sweeten the deal alot I think.

The XB360 bundles are downright awesome deals, and I'm surprised it took it this long to really start flying. Good work by Microsoft, in fueling the hurting American economy. =) I think the 360 is going to have a phenominal Black Friday, at least in America.

The Wii should be even keel, or slight downturn, this week, just before Black Friday -- it should shoot up a bit (draining all remaining stockpiles, IMO) next week, and then settle at about 600K per week (WW) in December, as I see it, due to supply issues.  Remember that both retailers and shoppers are *expecting* it to be hot... thus they will buy it, and sell it, as fast, and early, as possible.

Do you really think Wii will only sell 9 millions units in 2009? Your sig is really weird and takes away your credibility.

Why, because I'm honest enough to keep it as I originally predicted, despite being pretty far off now?

The most interesting part of this gen will begin when mass market starts to get HD-ready in 2009 giving the 360 a huge boost.

In Japan people now buy less nationalistic than in the years before so it also could happen that in 2009 the 360 sells there in amounts never seen before.

Yes, no better time for everyone to jump on the HD bandwagon than during the biggest recession of the last few decades.

The price of the HD-TVs will go down further and the recession will be over some day in 2009. And not every region in the world is hit as hard as the US by this recession.

Yes you have to be stupid not to see that the ps3 is dying.
and sony's gaming devision in general.
its getting trashed and its not just the wii and the ds doing it now, the 360 has joined in.

the psp and ps3 numbers are just sad.

hello how are you.

@auxerre: LOL, great one.

@illuminatus: I disagree with your last two assertions (not so much with the last one, just that every other area will be hit pretty hard too.. it will just take longer).

And now how much do you think it will sell?

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

@LazyRider

EXCELLENT POINTS!!!

Enough of the "if the 360 was the same price as the PS3 sales would be bullshit"

By similar logic - If my girlfriend had balls & a shaft she'd be my boyfriend.  Nuff said.

And I love the Bizarro episode of Seinfeld!
