You’re in the Movies, like so many other games, looks great on paper but lost all of its promise in the translation to a game disc. The pacing is bad, the activities are boring, the Vision Camera is an annoyance and handcuffs the entire experience, and the payoff for all of your hardships isn’t fulfilling in the slightest. Yes, You’re in the Movies is bad, no matter how many beers you’ve consumed throughout the night.

6.0 | Presentation The B-movie feel runs throughout the game, which is cool, but the Vision Camera’s lack of functionality is unacceptable. |
5.0 | Graphics B-movie clips aren’t exactly system intensive, nor are the backdrops setup for the activities. It all works, it’s just not all that pretty. |
6.5 | Sound Sound effects and dialogue are fine for B-movie fare but the movies could have more personality. Adding your own voice to your movie is cool. |
4.0 | Gameplay The Vision Camera nearly breaks the game, but instead just makes it a severe annoyance to play. Bad overall design doesn’t help either. |
4.0 | Lasting Appeal The Director Mode adds some legs, but the 30 B-movie scenarios don’t last long though it’s not like you’d want to play through them all anyway. |
