Forums - Sony - So Sony won't have netflix, big deal - sony doesn't need netflix anyway

I just don't like that PC offers steam, which is better than xbox live >_>; and I can watch netflix without paying for live -_-;;; I'd much rather consoles move forward then backwards :x And if these guys can do it, why can't Microsoft? It just seems like more nickel and dime-ing... esp from a company who serves millions and was once the wealthiest company in the world :x You'd think they'd give a little love~

These arguments are pointless, and it really does just boil down to me not liking live in the end :P But netflix was one of the reasons I was going to pick up a 360, but now that I know it's connected to gold, it's just that much more incentive to not pick it up.

^I don't believe that Steam is better than Xbox Live in terms of moderation. I've yet to see a Xbox Live user hack in a game yet I see some asshole wallhacking me shooting my face from the other side of the map every time I put CS on.

The saddest part is since Cal O is Open Division people actually do hack in clan skirmishes...The only way to play legit good players without being worried about hackers is to get into Cal I, practically impossible with the friends I have...

Than again this isn't really a problem of Steam but more so of PC= easier to hack.

Anyone with an HDTV should have VGA or HDMI inputs so you can connect your computer directly to your TV anyway. All Microsoft is doing is extending it from PC to 360, which you can do with PS3 for cheaper than a Gold account.

Either way, it's not a big deal no matter which system you have.

Yeah, but most people don't want hook their PC or laptop up to the TV.  It's a hassle and wifes never like having random wires sticking out from behind your TV or entertainment center.

i'm not going through all these pages... but could you provide link to ps3 not having netflix?

i was really hoping ps3 would get netflix, that way, i'll be getting a ps3 for sure if i were to choose between 360 and ps3.

I don't think there's a link saying no Netflix to 360 because it's not really news that Netflix isn't coming to the PS3.  Now if Netflix was coming to the PS3 that would be news and then we could provide you with some sort of link.

So the question you *really* should be asking is could you provide a link to PS3 having Netflix?

well, i'm asking because i thought the OP read it somewhere that a deal was scuttered.  but i guess since sony is doing its own thing, netflix might not come to ps3 after all, which is too bad.

its crazy when people would go through all of that hooking up pcs to tv's etc when they can spend $199.99 and be able to do it all.

I had my pc connected to my tv but found it annoying running to the computer for media purposes when i just lay on my couch with my 360 controller and go through a organized system with less clutter.

Yeah, that must be why no one in the world hooks up a VCR, DVR, videogame system, or anything else to a TV...

Oh wait...

All it takes is 1 VGA cord sticking out the back of the TV so you can move your laptop or have a backup PC hooked up to it.  I don't believe I said anything about having wires thrown about the entire living room to hook up 1 object.
