^Of course... When LAIR game gets a bad review, reviewer is biased. When Lair gets bad review from IGN, site all of a sudden turned biased.

Don't you know? If any review site gives a bad score to a PS3 game they suddenly lose any credibility. EGM for example gave Virtua Fighter 5 a 9.7, but as soon as they gave Lair a 5.5, god forbid it's a bad game. No, they must be biased!

no its actually a matter of the reviewer him/her self. The new guy on the IGN PS team sucks as at reviewing games. He spent a paragraph complaining about the rain effects (reviewed the 360, PS3, PS2 version at same time) in NCAA Football 08. The game isnt even as bad as he made it out to be. Should have been at least 1 point higher. Lair from what everyone who has actually played it (excect the more biased reviewers) love Lair. Only problem most reviewers had in earlier builds were the camera. Which most likely have been fixed in the latest build since they have taken the time to listen to reviewers and fixed that problem. Pus I always hated the guys that run EGM and 1Up since the N64 days. They have always sucked at reviews.

Honestly, I don't think reviews largely affect many games, other then the smaller "indie style" projects.

It would be like asking, what if Metroid Prime 3 sucks?
Wouldn't matter is what the likely answer would be, as it will most likely end up selling well past a million anyways.

Note that I'm not trying to bash the Wii or anything, as I'm looking forward to both HS and MP3. I just don't think reviews effect the overall sales outside of the hardcore gamer, at least not to a point where it flops instead of taking off.

P.S. I think it is safe to say HS will score well though, the game does look (And by look, I don't necessarily mean graphics) fantastic.

Lair had 1 good review, and 1 bad review. So Who know if teh game is good or bad :D

Oups, it seems the real Leo-j as resurfaces.

You should edit your posts before posting, grammar could use some work.

You just used a run-on sentence to criticize someone else's grammar.

I admit it: I'm getting a kick out of this new you. You should change personas every week or so.

I didnt change my personality, I just feel like Ive been biased to sony.

To me it almost sounds like you are being sarcastic now... I can't take your new Wii love seriously

I don't think people care about reviews as much as you think they do legend, many people are going to buy this regardless. However, this is still an unknown franchise and in my opinion it's not by itself gonna move tons of consoles.

Donwii is right that part of the reason it's gonna sell is for the graphics, but also for the hype.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

As long as the graphics look good, people will buy the game. Regardless of what gameplay is like. Thats what its all about. The graphics.

"Although I am well aware that solid gameplay is absolutely critical for making this a good game, I would buy it just for the cutscenes."- Ryan Clements IGN: PS3

bullshit. all you guys are being asses, what if SMG turns out to be a total piece of shit? then you'll just buy it because you like suckling the Mario tit. goes both ways #$%^&*!

What if Halo 3 will get 2/10 or Bio Shock will get 3/10? Shit, gameplay is the strongest feature of HS ! This thread is really asking for a flame... I've played HS and chances it will get poor reviews are similar to Halo's 3 in my book... Sorry Legend11 but I thought you are a bit more moderate...

What if the last two first party games from Nintendo got bad reviews (Pokemon Battle Revolution and Mario Party 8). O wait, that is right, they did. Lair gets one bad review, and now the game "has bad reviews". Why do you guys spend so much time criticizing Sony? The Sony people really haven't been very hostile as of late. Many of you in this thread have been far worse than the "Sony fanboys" recently.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. I agree, I lost a lot of respect for Legend11 with this thread. One, he assumes Lair got bad reviews from everyone, and two he brings up the hypothesis that Heavenly Sword will get bad reviews as if it were what is likely to happen. You don't see Sony fanboys making threads like, "What if Super Mario Galaxy sucked?"

I forsee Heavenly Sword will get better reviews than Lair but I think Lair will sell better.
