I like many other people sporadically browsed nextgenwars, which somehow led to me visiting here. Actually come to think of it I think I browsed vgchartz one thinking it was nextgenwars or something. I can't really remember.

Unfortunatly, I think VGC is the only forum for many members, rendering their advertising ability worthless to them. From what I can tell, only a few members frequent more than one site. And I hardly think DJMeister is going to putting the graphic in his sig.

I don't think any of the NeoGaf users would dare put that in their sig since even hinting at anything to do with VGChartz gets you banned there. Of course you can also get banned there for sneezing wrong...

Yeah, I don't I've ever actually seriously gone here for news, it's always been dedicated newsites like Kotaku and Destructoid. The only time I've ever payed any attention to the news here is when I randomly happen to notice an interesting story or I see something Ghostbusters related...
I also think we should be able to change the font on the:
Posts:
vg$ (make VG capital)
It is a very small idea and may seem unnecessary, but it would give forum members a more unique look.
Also, maybe if the video games had bars, like a small, small, small bar graph under their sales.
Like for example, if ioi the videogame sold 540k, we should have a bar showing it trail to a million, for each territory. If that game passes a million in a region, the bar could just change color, like our WiiWare/VC sales numbers. A game that is 1.2 million in America could be Red instead of light blue and go back down in the graph to the imaginary 200k mark (there would be no room to have the graph say 50k,100k,150k, etc)
These bars could go behind the weekly sales numbers, like in a powerpoint slide. As long as it the numbers are easy to read, it should look good, I think.
Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. " thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."
I'd be willing to jump back into that jungle they call Gamespot to advertise VGChartz. I still have my account from over there.
All anybody has to do is ask me.

I always just looked at numbers, stayed away from the fanboy invested forums... but after a year I finally created an account :) tho I hardly post since its useless
Already posted that I googled it, but not the why. I work selling video games and video game accessories, to paraphrase Hank Hill. I was looking for info on what games were selling really well so I could feature them more prominently, thereby increasing sales. I figured that focusing on what I like would quickly result in walls overflowing with RPGs, turn-based strategy games and racing sims.
