i was actually searching for ps3 vs 360 comparisons before i bought my ps3 in july 08'. some helpful comments, lesser fanboyish comments than most blogs and forums.

I typed "video game sales" into Google, and VGC was the first option.

I used to post on Nintendo's old NSider forums (this was just after E3 2007) and someone had VGChartz's Wii sales in their sig. I checked it out, and I've been here ever since.

I was just curious on how sales were going this generation. It was before I bought my Wii that I did searches and found Nextgenwars and then this site.

Soon I learned that Nextgenwars was nothing more than a timer -- so I kept coming back. I just hung out without joining for months. But then I got more interested, got involved, and can't seem to stay away.

Did a google search for console sales in the US and this site popped up. Have been hooked ever since....XD!

I was on Gamespot, and somebody had a sig for NexGenWars, so I checked that out, signed up, and posted there. Then there was this VGC bashing thread on there which passed me onto here.

Like they say, there's no such thing as bad publicity.

i knew ps2 killed in terms of sales last gen, but was curious how the current gen was doing sales wise (although i knew wii was winning) so i googled "sales figures wii" i think and after reading the inteligent posts on the forums here i was compelled to join.

 That's exactly the same way I found it.

I assumed that anything 4chan's /v/ hates must be good.

Alternatively, sneak some porn key terms here and there throughout the site, should shoot Google based hits through the roof.
