yeah but it's means it's the PC version who got the award... the game is optimized for DX10, so it make sence i have since a demo and it's Fing impressive all the annimation of smoke with real 3D particule and real time alteration, destruction and deformation of enviroment. real 3D clouds etc.. it won't be as good on XB because they have an hybrid of DX9 DX10 and i'm still not use to play RTS on a pad...
it's like vitua fighter it's the XBox version only... and I've seen both and it's true that the 360 version is better.... but not that good at the end, but the gameplay is amazing as usual with VF

@Bodhesatva,
I never said there was a conspiracy, just that I think there were Nintendo games ruled out for superficial reasons and that I think these guys are out of touch with what the market wants.
@endimion
I never said they were the same thing. Which is why I prefaced it by saying that I would of understood a marginal showing. But realize that at some point there is going to be overlap because otherwise one of the two groups is out of touch with reality and since the consumers dictate this market...well you see where I am going.
@ckmlb,
I'm not freaking out, and I honestly do not think this is going to have much of an impact for most people. I may of used strong language in my post to express how I feel about the list but that doesn't necessarily mean I am freaking out about it. I see that a lot of people disagreed with what I said apparently so rather than hash out an opinionated debate I am just going to let it go. After all no point in getting into it if I don't think it will have a large impact, eh?
@KruzeS,
What was on the list in the past doesn't change how I feel about this list (for me at least). I think most people may not of understood what I meant by the superficial comment. I was not necessarily referring to graphics with that comment, but rather conventions in general. Just to use an example, a game like Wario Ware if you knew nothing about it most people would dismiss it out of hand (and did irc).
@HappySquirrel,
You bring up some good points, the format change to E3 this year could of impacted the reactions to these games. I doubt there is any way to quantify it or say that the favor would of gone one way or the other but it does call into question the validity of a comparison between last years awards to these awards. As I said above I don't feel it makes a difference, but this point only solidifies my position in that regard.
@Everyone,
I have had to come back and explain myself a few times now in various threads, and I don't know if it is my wording or people reading into what I say and adding to it in their heads or a little of both. But I promise you that it takes a lot more than this to get me really upset about something, so for those who thought I was steaming over this...sorry but it just wasn't the case. I think for those who take the time to read what I say, you will find that I am not just spouting whatever comes to my head (most of the time lol), but that I have thought it out quite a bit. But nobody is perfect, and I do occasionally misspeak so I try to correct myself and correct others when they get the wrong impression of what I am saying...hopefully that is the case again here.
Shows how mediocre the wii line up really is, but don't state reality to much.

Glad to see you followed my link. And no, the great looking list of Wii games coming out doesn't show how mediocre the Wii line up really is.
I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.
Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.
Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!
Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.
Looking through the nominees I can generally see why the results came out this way.
Basically Nintendo didnt have much of a showing as far as nominations went and when they did get nominated the judges obviously found other games better. Personally I dont think Ill like rock band (Im not that bigger fan of GH) but hey, each to their own right?

Except for Rock Band, the game of the show. Also COD 4 is out this year too and that's on the PS3 and 360 and PC.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!
I don't know about you cats, but I'm kinda getting tired of the "hardcore" title anymore. While it does have its place in helping designate a certain level of gamer, it reminds me of the "Extreme!!!" craze that hit in the mid to late 90's.
You know, from an overall industry standpoint, most gaming journalists haven't said many good things about the Wii -- period --. They only reflect upon its phenomenal sales and the comeback kid appeal. For instance, the Bonus Round's E3 wrap up report on Nintendo was more like a lame attempt at satire and jokes.
Many in the industry still think Wii is a joke when it comes to game play, and frankly from a gamer who would like some genuine journalistic coverage, it's getting rather annoying. In part, I don't think this will ever change until they are forced to once the flood gates are opened in regards to Wii's third party software support.
It's different and most don't like it and they are just all pouting about its success. Well tough shit kiddies, Nintendo's bank account says the formula is here to stay, and so does the public.
