Everyone is blaming Hardware  to be to expensive, but I didn't read any thread of the price of the game ? 70 dollars !

Who can buy a new game each week ? many hardgamers like me, wait to by platinium or second hand, even if my salary is ok, I think many game don't worth 70 euros, for exemple I'll don't buy Mirror's edge at 70, but I would have buy it at 35 euros.

It's like movie, if the price ticket was 20 dollars, there always be people for going to excellent movie at this price, but no one for the rest, at  10 dollars we can go for not so perfect movie !

I think if publishers cut the price in two, i'm sure they'll sell more than two times of games, so the benefit 'll be supérior even if the price is smaller.

I think it's time that the publisher understand that for the goodness of the market they all must cut the price of the game, because when you have buy " GTA, COD, Gears, and Prince of Persia ", there is no rest for the other game.

are you sure about that?
even if Resistance 2, or Gears2 would cost 35 euro, i wouldnt buy this, because its not my genre. (and there are lots of Games, i would like to play more then them).
and if you (or me) really want a game badly, you will pay 70 Eur./dollars :)

and sooner or later you can have it for 29.99 if its an good selling one.

the problem is not to buy game you don't like but to buy game you want at a correct price.

New CD cost 15, movie in theater  10, dvd 20, blu ray 30, but games 70 euros !

For sure we can wait one year to buy it at 30, ( i'd juste buy Kane and Lynch, i'd love it but don"t worth 70 !), but the pleasure is to buy one thing when it hit the store.

Batman is going in DVD in december, but the big pleasure was to see it when it go in theater.

And franckly do you know so many persons around you who can afford to pay 70 euros each week for games ?

I think many many games could hit the million mark very fast if the price were at a normal level.

I know many many people who'll never buy a new game because of the price.

game development is much more expensive then make  a movie, a blu ray or something like this.

(look at GTA IV, the ammount of money they needed for development .. let me think.. 100 million?, okay, its the most expensive Game ever made, but even games like "armored Core" or "enchanted Arms" needs millions of dollars to be made. )

of course i would like to buy new games at 40-50 eur/dollars, but i can understand the high prices aswell.
