Yeah I was already going to buy both Metroids as part of my campaign of getting all the GC games I never got to own last gen, started with Mario Sunshine and Smash Bros., I'll probably get the Primes next.

What I really want on the VC are these 3 games:

1. Alex Kidd in Miracle World (Sega Master System)
2. Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master (Genesis/Mega Drive) this has already gotten an ESRB rating so it's coming in the next month probably.
3. World Heroes 1 and/or 2 (NeoGeo)

 I'm playing Prime for the first time and loving it. It still looks great and it still has brilliant gameplay with a solid story. Whenever I go do anything else, I'm thinking of the next time I'll be able to play Metroid.

 And really, I'd feel like a slacker if I played MP3 without going through 1 and 2 first. Especially when they're cheap and Wii is GC compatible.

I got Prime 1 and 2 in a combo pack used for 14.99. I want to atleast beat Prime before I play 3, although I don't know if I'll get them both in. I really am completely blown away by this game so far. It's just so deep and rewarding. This may sound strange, but it actually reminds me of Shadowman 64, which was also a heavy retraversal game.



I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do. 

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Prime 1 + 2 are definitely my next GC purchases, almost finished the Wind Waker, and am working my way through Thousand Year Door (Also got Sunshine - completed - and Melee since the launch of wii).

I have played Prime 1 (albeit a very limit experience, under 5mins) and i loved the feel of it almost immediately

Hmm...a little bit surprised at the amount of people oblivious to Metroid, even with the Prime games.

Then again, I had an SNES and a Genesis, so I got the best of both worlds.

Prime was my first Metroid game and since then I was captivated by the series [see my avatar? oh and Prime is my fave game of ALL time!!]. Since then I've played all the Metroids except II which was on the GB and I couldn't find it anywhere :(

Don`t get me wrong but I think Metroid is kinda like Chrono Trigger in sales and popularity. Those who played the games know that words are not enough to describe the rich experience these games provide. Even so the sales usually do not go over 2 million, and they are both lacking hypewise (I know, I made a new word).

Most of Metroid good press come from players word of mouth. It is a shame that the quality of the game is not reflected on the sales.

I agree also, meanwhile, maybe we should start a prediction league thing for when the hell the next retrospective will be coming out :P
