Keep it well ina well ventalated area. Install a couple of big games if you can (like Fable 2 or one that makes your xbox sound like a dishwasher)

I have had 2 360's for 2 years and no troubles, what with the new revisions I really wouldn't worry to much about RROD, its like living your life in fear!

I'd wait for white monday or mulatto tuesday. Better deals.

rrod is a thing of the past.

don't place the 360 on the carpet... (or any other console that has air vents on the carpet)! it gets blocked with dust really fast..

But to be honest RRoD just seems like a random thing and you're covered by 3 free years anyway. (any other fault is covered by standard 1yr)

When you buy it, check the manufacturing date and power watt usage. 175 W means u got the falcon and any date over 10/08 means u probably have a good chance its a jasper as well. Those 2 components will keep your system coller then the previous 360's that were manufactured b4.

And make sure u keep the 360 well ventilated and that is lays horizontally. Should be played in room temp and not in a very humid place.

You're not gonna get RROD on a newer model, ESPECIALLY if you keep it in a ventilated area.

Actually, I don't think anyone can get RROD with downloading games to their HD, because no hot air emits from the 360. The disk doesn't even spin.

I like the way people who don't have a 360 assume RROD is constantly happening, it's more like a thing of the past tbh.

well RRoD is just more common on older 360 models
