When I first joined the site, it was rampant with 360 bashing......(rightfully so), at the time PS3 was outselling the 360 by 20-40K a week, sometimes even as high as 70-80K. Being a big 360 fan it was tough, but I can relate to how great of a console the PS3 is, so it's easy to support it, same goes for 360. Wii owners (that's me too) just sat back and watched Nintendo dominate, and we all know that will not change.

When/If the PS3 picks up steam again, the tide will switch back. I wouldnt say that the site is predominately PS3 fans, but there is a majority. A lot of the big PS3 support/Sony Defense Force members either have stopped posting due to recent 360 dominance, or have been banned for said anger generated by 360 dominance, and have switched to another site, that supports their rantings. There are many like myself who are big 360 fans. I know the PS3 fans had it rough when the console was first released, so it swings both ways.

Honestly gaming as a whole is up and I like that. Let's just enjoy the awesomeness that is gaming this holiday. I know my time will be full of awesome games!

Completely disagree with you. Getting this close to christmas Sony should now in 2008 be selling better than last year this time.

November 11 2007 PS3 according to this site in amricas was roughly 90-100,000. The 360 was about the same 140,000

However EU PS3 is about the same 110,000, but 2007 EU 360 was about 50-60,000. Same time frame 360 is 130,000 in 2008.

Beautiful numbers for Xbox 360

The shift in Sony/Xbox fanboys posting is funny. It is swinging the way of the 360 now, so there are a lot more MS fans around. It was Sony fans earlier this year.

No matter what happens, they will probably both end this generation with somewhere between 20% and 30% of the console market each. It could be 22% PS3 and 29% 360 as it is now, the opposite of that, or somewhere in the middle.

Regardless of what happens, I do not see it affecting the games that are released on each system this generation. Third party HD games are going cross platform. The Wii victory pretty much determined that. People are arguing over console that will share 90% of the same games.

People are putting too much importance into how their preferred console is selling. The reality is that developer need both the PS3 and the 360 to be successful. Neither will be dominant. Neither will be irrelevant.

Just enjoy all the great games coming out this year.

Wii sales are incredible and they will only go up, which should eventually lead to increase software sales. Wii is simply crushing the competition.

Price-Cut helepd MS significantly also their great library of games this holidays has a huge impact, i've said before that price will be a decisive factor in HD Sales, and 360 because of the entry point has a huge advantage over PS3.

PS3 is doing bad, and there is no doubt about it getin destroyed by Wii and significantly outsold by 360. Sony have lost this gen in US and Japan, they can only fight in others. And i dont think Killzone will have that much impact, especially when 1st game was just average. The only upcoming titles that could really help PS3 (not change its fate) are GT5 and FF XIII in Japan but thats in future far away.

Isn't blaming the financial crisis admitting that you're going to lose? Let's face it, the recession isn't going to stop for another 2-5 years, so does that mean 360 will beat PS3 for another 2-5 years?
