All i can say at the moment is, that the company will make good money with it. Well, atleast if the games are playable. If it's dirt cheap and marketed in poor 3rd world countries that have working internet connections.
Anyway, iQue apparently was somekind of a success to Nintendo, so judging by that, this could have a similar shot.

It will cost around 600 reais. Just to give you an idea, a PS2 already modded can be found for 400 reais. So, it´s gonna come out losing. Second, the games will be nowhere near as good, as cheap or as many.

So, I think this will be a monumental fail.

Around the Network

@marciosmg: Well, weren't they planning on exporting it? In any case, surely there will be a number of people buying it and even the price may eventually come down. It also had a seemingly very profitable online store for games.

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

=(

From Google:

600 Brazil reais = 251.15100 U.S. dollars

No way I'll be buying one, if it stays like that. I'll only jump for something so relatively weak if it comes at a price-point of less than $150 (360 reais or less for you Brazilians).

Of course, it'll very possibly be cheaper here in the States. The Wii released at $1100 USD in Brazil. If the price difference converts the same way, then the Zeebo would cost only $60 here in the States. Hahaha, if only...

And that price with the world drenched in crysis (stronger dollar here). Before that, it would be about 370 dollars or nearly a PS3. Nasty.

This actually can end as the worst selling console ever, worst even than Apple Pippin.
