Sony Pictures Entertainment has nothing to do with SONY Computer Entertainment.

Except they are both owned by Sony?

It appears that the sudden yoinking of Columbia Pictures films from NXE Instant Queue access is a licensing issue with Sony after all. MTV Multiplayer pinged us with word that, on the rental service's official blog, Netflix corp. communications VP Steve Swasey writes:

"As watching instantly becomes a more prominent part of the Netflix service, our goal is to have all of our streaming content licensed for all of our partner devices. We're doing well in this area, but it will take some time before we fully achieve that goal. Today, titles regularly come in and out of license and there is a natural ebb and flow to what we have on license at any given point in time. In the case of Xbox 360, a few hundred titles are temporarily unavailable to be streamed via the Xbox game console. Those titles are still available to be watched on subscribers' computers and on TVs via other partner devices, and we hope they'll be licensed for Xbox 360 shortly."

What are discussing?

The thread isn't true, and it's not what people say it is.

What is there left to discuss?

It is true, in fact your quote says that it is true.  It might be licensing issues, but it is not a coincidence that it was found the day before NXE was going Live.   Who do you think noticed the issues with licensing?  How else would Sony be able to pull the movies if not for licensing?  They will soon be available, but this gives them some clout for negotiations when consumers are expecting all items on Netflix to be available for streaming on the 360.  They might squeeze some extra money as M$ and Netflix feels pressure to get the deal done as fast as possible.  Clever move.

which as a company loves money through a competitor more than the competitor not having as much content... even if this was Sony saying "fuck off" it doesn't effect MS' 360 future buyers and it probably doesn't effect people renting movies. Rentals are spur of the moment things. If Sony movies aren't their than the renter will just get something else.
