Forums - Nintendo - update from the awesomeness that is Factor 5 on

http://uk.wii.ign.com/articles/931/931371p1.html

Factor 5:"We are working on several projects, both multi-platform as well as single-platform titles for the Wii which you will hear a lot more about very soon.

sounds sweet to me the rougue squadron series was epic. Many of you will disagree  but i  bleieve rebel strike is the best. the main campiagn wasnt as good cos of the on foot missions but it had a rougue leader co-op and awesome multiplauyer so it was ok:)

so what do we know of so far?

1. Factor 5 is making a wii exclusive for nintendo. it is highly rumoured to be a new Kid Icarus

2. Factor 5 is/was making a game for brash. This is liekly to be the multiplatform superman game. i was sceptic about this but then again they managed awesomely with the star wars franchise so ill give them a shot

3. factor  5 has said they are a third game for published by themselves i believe. whether this is the casual game they once talked about i dont know. but we know they have multiple exclsive wii titles

4. most likely Factor 5 will be creating the best graphics for wii at least in the exclusive titles. in fact i reckon they can outdo nintendo, seeing as they created great graphics on the gamecube, are very familliar with wii hardware and the fact that nintendo would often use factor 5's game engine when creating games.

5.  Factor 5 was also rumoured to be making pilotwings for nintendo. whether this will happen i dont know but Factor 5 seems to LOVE games that involve flying

your thoughts?

Around the Network

You're about to hear a lot of people give Factor 5 a lot of flack for LAIR, but I enjoyed Rogue Squadron too much to snub my nose.

I'm excited to see what comes up.

They say several. Let's assume one is the much-rumoured Kid Icarus.

They mentioned that one IP they were working on had been around since the Atari 2600, had a huge universe to draw on, and had never really been given its due. That supports Superman.

Furthermore, there's that talk about a mysterious publisher being sold the rights to publish a Star Wars game (or maybe games). I'm guessing that Nintendo is paying Factor 5 to update the Rogue Squadron games for the Play on Wii series.

"The worst part about these reviews is they are [subjective]--and their scores often depend on how drunk you got the media at a Street Fighter event."  — Mona Hamilton, Capcom Senior VP of Marketing

The rumor section of a recent EGM stated that the previous 3 Rogue Squadron games may indeed be getting a Wii make-over.  Wouldn't surprise me in the least, actually.  The Wii is getting an installment of the next Star Wars Battlefront game, already has TFU and Clone Wars (which is getting crap reviews, by the way), and another light sabre-based game intended for use with Wii Motion Plus.  By 2010, the Wii may actually end up being the go-to console for Star Wars games.  At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised to see Knights of the Old Republic work it's way to the system.
