Tomb Raider Underworld is supposed to come out today, but I haven't seen any reviews for it, and I don't live near any stores that have games in them (have to travel about 50 miles for that), so I'm not sure if its really being released today due to the lack of reviews.  So is anyone planning to buy Tomb Raider Underworld today?

     I did play the demo on the 360.  I thought that there wasn't a huge graphics leap from the last one and there was chopping at first (like some early PS3 games -- Dark Kingdom, Genji) when the camera would move certain ways.  But the further I progressed in the demo it started to get better.  The jungle might have been able to rival the one in Uncharted in some ways in its graphics and the puzzles and leaping seemed smooth.  I think it got better the further I went into the demo.  So, I would say that it is probably going to be a good B game at least.

     Any thoughts or impressions on Tomb Raider Underworld?

I downloaded every video, replayed Tomb Raider Legend, and finally completed Tomb Raider Anniversary last night. I deleted the demo last week so I wouldn't spoil the game for myself anymore than I already have. I am SOOO ready for this game. My local EBGames/Gamestop said that the game ships today and won't actually be in until tomorrow (which sucks because I'm off of work today and won't get another day off until next Wednesday). I'm psyched, but in the words of Darth Vader "I find your lack of reviews disturbing". If you hear anything positive or negative, pass it on!!

Metacritic has one review up now from The Official Playstation UK Mag. They gave it an 80 and said, "Running around robbing ancient artefacts, desecrating temples and cracking intense puzzles is just as satisfying as ever, and feels like vintage Tomb Raider through and through."

I would give the demo an 85 to 90.
