Before end of 2008 or early 2009.. seeing posts to sell 45,000,000 by the end of this year.. psp doubt to sell to this number.. or if (needs to sell 5,000,000 within 1 and bit more month)... any doubts??

Myself, Sqrl, and TWRoO (top 3 betters in the WW LTD prediction round) have predicted that the Wii will have outsold the PSP by the end of 08.

The Wii should be pushing around 46m by the end of 08, while it looks like the PSP will be around 44-45m.

Sqrl has PsP at 800K more than Wii, and TWRoO have them dead even, you're the only one of the top 3 betters that have the Wii above the PsP at end of 08.

oops. I remembered their predictions wrong. I knew we were all extremely close, but I guess I was wrong. Forget everything I said. But if it doesn't happen then it will happen extremely soon.

I myself believe it will make it by end of 08, but I am in the minority there. Only 4, 5 or 6 of the top 20 highest betters believe it (you, me, Zexen, MANUELF and probably someone I missed).

Reggie made a comment saying they were going to sell at least 10m in 3 months, so that looks good so far.

Nintendo expects to have shipped 52m by March 31, 09. Now, they typically undershoot with their estimates, so 53m is possible (but who knows). So if we assume they sell 6m from January to March (assume they speed ship half their January supply into December), they could have up to 57m sold by Dec 31 08.

I agree. The Wii will definately start unselling after 2008.
