yushire, dude, Famitsu rated Nintendogs higher than FFVII and Metal Gear Solid, and GoldenEye, and LoZ: A Link to the Past, and Chrono Trigger, and Super Mario 64 , and actually as good as all other games ever made... soo... don't take it too seriously.

COD3 is a PS2 port, AC is a gamecube port. I don't see why .2 is a big deal.

lol, fine. All I can say is that I've been enjoying my enhanced versions of Melee, Mario Sunshine, Double Dash!! and many other Nintendo games so far. ;)

But if you want me to dig at it, CoD 3 saw lots of improvements over it's predecessor, such as enhanced controls (for the Wii at least), enhanced graphics and many more. It was probably not the better Call of Duty game at the time, but that's exactly why it got a 7.7 anyways. For Call of Duty standards, that was damn low!

The first paragraph sums up why this game got the score it did.

Ever since the debut of the Wii two years ago Nintendo had been hinting that the company would eventually be bringing its casual and social "second life" game Animal Crossing to the new console. In that time Nintendo could have really knocked our socks off with an experience that advanced the classic game with a scope that pushed it in unseen new directions. But it's clear that someone at Nintendo tossed the DS cartridge at the Animal Crossing team and said, "here's your design document. Get to work." Animal Crossing: City Folk is a great conversion of Animal Crossing: Wild World, but as a console sequel? It's pretty lazy, and it's hard to praise phoned-in work like this.

Looking at videos of the game, it's hard to argue with that.

To put it another way: Animal Crossing: City Folk wasn't made for Animal Crossing fans. It was made for those that missed out the first two times. And for those people, you've got yourself a fine product. To those that helped make the first two games a success: maybe Nintendo will thank you some other way, because City Folk is only for you if you want to go through the same things all over again.

This game was a lazy effort. At least you can say they put a hell of alot of effort into Smash Bros.

You point doesn't make sense though! CoD 3 came out BEFORE WaW, it's normal that they will use the same control scheme, but it improves with more customization this time (see dead zone and sensitivity). WaW now includes online multiplayer on the Wii, and a lot of the CoD 4 tech is almost intact on the Wii version. This shows that the engine can be ported to Wii (and work), and that's a big thing if you ask me (also a low blow toward Infinity Ward).

It's like what the_vagabond7 said: "Anybody that thinks that this level of staleness is normal is diluding themselves. There is re-using a concept, and then there is re-using a game."

But yeah, I'll gladly take the trophy. o_O
