Local Multiplayer- 5/10

Gears of War 2 and L4D enough to give it more than 7!

Not interested in either of those. GC had Kirby Air Ride, Smash Bros Melee, Mario Kart Double Dash, Pikmin 2, and other crpapy multiplayer. I played the heck of those 4 games in multiplayer. Not sure if I played Air ride or melee more.

360 has Halo 3, and some other ok co-op like castle crashers. These other games are fun but don't last. 360 needs Star Wars Battlefront 3 :D

Valid points for most but the only part I disagree personally with is the local multiplayer. Me and my friends have made it a regular event to have LAN's where we play local games with each other. Depending on your situation you may not have explored everything it has but it's one of the best local gaming experiences in a console I've ever had.

It seems a lot of us who used to lug PC's all over have consolidated down to 360 making it a lot easier for us to get together.

Completed X360:
High Def Movie Collection

Been honest it is noisy but mine is next to my pc which is louder so it doesnt bother me.

I play shooters mostly so they tend to be noisy anyway so it doesn't bother me.

I believe with the new install option this is going to make it much quieter.

I'm not sure if to sell my 360 or keep it once I beat the last games that I have to beat on my other consoles I'll reflect whenever or not to keep it or sell it.Fable 2 and banjo and other games are for the 360 so I think I'll keep it and get xbox live.

Nuts and Bolts is fantastic. I have finals soon and I was only going to play the game for an hour but I played for about 6 hours becuase it was so much fun. Better than the old banjos imo, and I am a prety big Banjo fan. It reminds me of super mario sunshine, another game I really liked. My advice if you get it is this- explore a bit, do a few challenges, get the hihg grip tires, and immidiatly go to the gym and fully max out you're speed. You will be about 25% faster on foot than your starter car. I like playing on foot, running around showdown town and the game worlds. Logbox 720 is a crappy level though. Also, flying through the air really fast on levels and then bailing out and watching banjo fall down 1/2 a mile high for 15 seconds is really cool. He can't die either... unless you glicth the game and fall out of showdown towB

Better than the old banjo's? That's great I've definetly get it alongside fable 2.

What Co-op games do you recomend? I have only had a 360 for 4 months so while I am kinda knoledgable about Xbox in general, I am no expert.

Games I know about

-Worms XBLA

-Halo 3

- Castle Crashers XBLA

-Tales of Vesperia

- Geometry Wars 2

all have useful co-op. What other games are good? I have no interest in gears or left 4 dead though.

Hawkeye, I´m considering getting Banjo this week, and it seems most reviews say it is indeed a platformer, just different from what we were used to...how´s this game, really?...vehicle handling, size of levels, the platforming is done with you driving/piloting, right?

Eh be careful you may not like it... its extremely different... platforming is about 5% of the game. Also, collecting is about 10% of the game. In Banjo 1, platforming was about 40% of the game, and collecting was another 40%, with about 20% being exploring. In this game, exploring for me is about 45%, with 5% platforming, 10% collecting, 20% builing, and 20% doing the challenges. Its nothing like the old games, but its a type of game I really wanted. Its basically a sandbox platformer/builder hybird thing where you can explore or do challenges or play mini games at the arcade. Music and graphics are both fantastic.

I like Super Mario Sunshine more than mario 64... this game is an even bigger departure than that. SMS sushine had the most exploring of any mario game, and this game has even more than that. If you loved SMG (a linear platformer) you probabl won't like this.

If the main reasons you like Banjo Kazooie were

-characters

-humor

-music

-graphics

-exploring

then you will like this game alot. There is alot of optional collecting in showdown town and imo its the best part of the game. If it looks like you can get on the roof... you can. You can get pretty much any where. Keep in mind that you can use the trolly as a moveable platform to get you across mud piles, up to the lowest point on a roof/get onto a flower box to jump on a roff ect. Also, you can climb polls and shimmy across wires.

Vechile handline is much better than all those previews made it show. I watched a video where they constantly crashed in Banjo Land. Either they sucked at the game or they made a crappy vechile. I have crashed 2 times in the levels. Showdown town I have crashed numerous times, but I was trying to wedge my vechile in so I could use it as a platform so I could hop onto the roofs.

My favorite part of Super Mario Sunshine was running and platforming on the roffs of isle delphino. Showdown town is huge, and once you get on the roofs, you can collect notes/mumbo crates and explore. Its really fun.

Beat the first level nutty acres using all vechiles. Then beat grunty in the first challenge with the coconut. Just see her path, restart, cut her off, jump off the vechile, and use you wrench to grap the coconut. I won in 5 seconds and got a T.T trphy doing that.

After this explore showdown town via vechile until yuo find the gym (its surrounded by ice) talk to the guy their, he is the bear form Freezeezy peak from banjo 1. Max out you running IMIdatly. your speed increase dramatically. Its at least 2x, may be 2.5x. You are 25% faster than the starter vechile I am sure. Now run around showdown town and explore find notes/crates ect. I did this for 4 hours and only exploreed about 1/3-1/2 of the town

Once I got my speed up I found it more fun to explore Banjo land and nutty acres on foot. You can do some challenges on foot, though you always start in a vechile. For example, you have to protect clanker in banjo land from grunty minions. Instead of weaving my way along claker, I jumpd out of my vechile and hunted them down on foot, killing them with my wrench. More fun imo.

You can do a wrench spin in the air as a kind of double jump. You do 1-3 spins, depending on how long you hold B. You can also whack things with your wrcnh, and lift objects. You can pretty much demolsih anything in the course. There is a GIANT
igloo in banjo land, and I dismantled it. You can increase your wrench attack at the gym, and also increase your power to carry things.

Banjo when maxed out runs fast in this game, probably 50% faster than mario in Super Mario Shunshine and about 85% faster than mario in super mario galaxy. The levels are big and sprawling and fun to explore.

Its so fun once you figure out how to make a flying vechile with multiple engines going fast to zoom around the course and take in all the scenery, like the forst are in nutty acres, then bail out and fall for 10 seconds. It looks cool, and one time I knocked over the whoel forest with my vvechile due to collaterol damage. Again, its fun to explore on foot once your speed is maxed.

You see Sprial mountain at the begining of the game, and once you beat the game you can go back and explore sprial mountain. It's gorgoues, and they made it larger so its fun to explore.

I highly recomend Banjo Kazooie nuts and bolts. Haven't finished it yet, but so far I think I will probably give it 9.3-9.8/10 once I am done.

I forgot about level size. Logbox 720 is about 2x as big as an Super Mario Sunshine level. Nutty Acres is about 5x as big. Showdown town is 8-12 times as big as any Mario Sunshine level. The levels are huge. Remember, I explored showdown town lookins for notes and secrets and exploring dilapidated building's shimmying on wires and swimming in the lake ect and I think I only explored about 1/3 of the town throughly, and there are some districts I haven't even been to once yet!

The 360 is a battery inhaler(controller wise). Overall, I think your review is too forgiving.

really? How so? I thought it was a good review...

I thought the online part was too harsh
