It's like they say: If you love something, send it back to Microsoft. If it comes back to you, it's yours. If it doesn't, it never was.

You're gonna be okay, man. You're gonna be okay.

Dude, that is damn funny! HAHA.

@op - depending on where you live in the states, I think it goes/comes quicker.  I've heard people say as long as 2 weeks, but it literally took 5 days from the time I sent mine, to the time I got mine back.  I'm in Texas though and I think the repair center is in the Rio Grande Valley.

I had to ship my 360 to MESQUITE, TX.  So it must be rather close to you.

Hopefully I have a quick turn around as well.

This is illegal and highly imoral but what you can do is buy one from best buy and play it for up to 29 days with your hard drive attached and then return it when your coffin comes with a new one from microsoft.

Best buy in Canada has a 30 day money back guarantee. Just be real careful with it and dont dent it, scratch it or have your dog pee on it.

your scaring me, what if it happens to my xbox!

Isn't it fun playing with danger? It feels good walking away from a session with your 360 without it crashing. PS3 and Wii are too safe to play, no fun. u_u

Update: I have now called Microsoft three times. They were supposed to send me a shipping label by email. That failed twice, now they will send a box to my address. I thought for as many times as the 360 fails that this process would be streamlined.

The PS3 is looking so much better right now.

Did you put in a repair request online? That's what I did and they sent the coffin out no problem. It took 4 days to reach me. Very easy and with no need to get on the phone with anyone. Though I don't believe I'm getting any perks out of it. I should've called and complained, maybe got free MS points or free Live.

it looks like the question if it's going to happen, but when =(.

i am really seriously thinking that of buying a 360...

That sucks. It took 1 week turnaround when my DVD drive had issues (I was two weeks shy of 1 year warranty expiration for DVD related issues).

I have my American Xbox 360 overseas. I'm really hoping it will hold on until February.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
