I am ready for it so I can try out the HD Netflix Streams. But also so that a party of my friends can travel through L4D and Horde will the greatest of ease.

When 11,000,000 consoles log onto live, the majority don't know this is coming so when it updates you're going to have a lot of people confronted by something completely new and unexpected from their Xbox 360. So pretty much a whole bunch of people are going to end up with the NXE completely out of the blue and a whole bunch of them are going to end up talking about the Xbox 360 and a few of the people talked to will end up being influenced to buy one. Well at least thats my theory, so is it sound? |
It will have a positive impact on the hype of the console. I showed the NXE to a couple of 360 users who where unaware of it and they loved it.
I think the party-content will help in the long shot as well but won't have sensible impact for this XMAS sales.
Now the most important think about NXE is the scalable architecture of the solution. According to MS, NXE it is very easy to develop for the NXE and push new features in production. The goal would be to enhance the system without facing the issue of a maximum of 2 release per year.
Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.
Is somewhat doubt it will make a huge difference in sales without very good marketting....
4 ≈ One
dont dream too much
online = hardcore
mainstream = casual = offline

Correct, in it current state, it is not marketable, but it will eventually ...
They are already communicating on NETFLIX (tv ads in Europe), not about the rest so far ...

@ sardauk: netflix and whatever sony places against it, are rather useless over here (Belgium) since our digital tv / internet provider gives us access to whatever netflix might have to offer.
And what I've seen / read about netflix, is that it doesn't really hold a candle to what we already have.
@ squilliam: Hmmm, if the nxe has an impact, then Home should have one too. And all over this forum, it's usually "home is not going to impact at all", so I doubt that NXE will do anything either.
Personally if I did not have a 360 the Netflix would tempt me very very much but not sure If I would buy it just for that.
On a side note, anyone that has Xbox Live knows about the NXE it is displayed all over the dashboard as soon as you log in. It even has a countdown.

Don't get me wrong, I haven't said anything particuliar concerning Netflix. Just that TF1 has some 360 ads about it and the NXE in general.
What are you using in Belgium ? Belgacom TV, Telenet ?
I wish Netflix can still be integrated ... even with the current offer.

I for one am an American and I am ready to try out the NetFlix HD Streaming. My digital tv provider offers some on demand stuff, but it is expensive and the free ones are crap.
