I'm quite sure that the majority of the posters here consider themselves to be somewhat smart (Zen, you too! :p), but somehow it is getting harder and harder to detect that in many threads.
I'm well aware that practically everyone has a favourite console and that they hope that that particular console does a bit (or a lot) better than the opposition. There's nothing wrong with that.
It usually is a good ground for some healthy discussions, and might actually bump some heads together by bringing different sides to the table, showing different perspectives and getting others to realize a (possible) different "real answer".
However, lately, only some stupid oneliners by some of the more .... uhm.... "decency? what is that"-posters seem to dominate the threads.
Those answers (ranging from the "where's the huge now?" to "omfg, imagine what would happen if GoW had a full week of sales, instead of just one day!!!") are being used by a larger group on the forum just to make some "hey hey, I got some funny, smartass reply for everyone (Fernando supplied the latest of that category...).
Is it just too much to ask to look at something, perhaps think "giggety" (hell, even post that for all I care), and at least post something sensible and something that can be useful? It's really annoying to read all the low blows every way (towards wii music bombing, towards lbp not being big, towards too human flopping), and only read about .... just guessing here.... 4 good replies out of 10...
give me an ignore button!
