Choices choices.
Having finally played online last night with a friend, it is tough to call, but LBP may win out over everything. Although as a rabid MGS fan I am inclined to go with that.
BTW: When do they announce GOTY?

To me it's MGS4 or GTA4. I love Gears of War 2 but the fact that it was just released tells me it won't get that many votes.

This is currently at the top of my list. I also have to wait for L4D and WotLK. My other top choices are Wii Fit, EchoChrome, LBP and Endless Ocean.

None of the games mentioned above (Gears, Metal Gear, GTA) are anywhere on my list. My most played games are Chess and Natural Selection, but those games are 2000 and 7 years old, respectively. If those count, those games are number 1 and number 2 on my list.

I hated Gears 1, and didn't like GTA:SA, so I didn't even buy GTA4 or Gears 2. I bought MGS4, and I tried to play it, but the plot was simply too awful and too intrusive, so I had to quit in the second act. Only game I bought this year and didn't finish. These are only my opinions, of course: you're all welcome to disagree.

Four games have a chance. GTA4, LBP, MGS4 and Gears2. The first three all were rated higher, and have a better shot at GotY. L4D might have a chance as well.
