Forums - Microsoft - Thinking about it ... I must congratulate M$ on the great party games.

I never had myself down as the type to buy any sort of party game ... heck I have 1 360 controller.

But the though of playing "you're in the movies" with my family .. just seems FUN

The games are simple to pick up and great entertainment for an evening in. I'm picking up Lips and You're in the Movies.

Well I dont mean to troll but, did you ever have a ps2?

YitM could truly be a lot of fun, but I fear it won't have enough 'movies' to be fun for very long. The only way it'd work well is if each one takes a LONG time to do. That way the sessions will be so long that people won't do too many in one night. But if they're like 15 minutes long and there are only like 10-15 of them, then they could repeat quickly ala Scene It.

I'm curious to learn about the movie editor that it was supposed to have, though. That right there could add many more hours of entertainment.

No I was new to gaming around 2005 and got an Xbox ... I know about singstar but as far as party games go I never really knew what the PS2 had to offer ... was never really interested back then ..

Personally, I think You're in the Movies looks like shit. I can save myself $60 by YouTubeing the different scenarios and calling it a day. The actual "gameplay" looks so boring, and I'm pretty sure it won't be any better than the numerous retched EyeToy games that came out on PS2.

Lips and Scene It! on the other hand look mighty good in a party situation, but ultimately I would just buy Rock Band for some four player action. I don't think anything compares.

Lips gonna be awesome!

Scene It gonna be really fun!

You're in the Movies... meh, I guess it's perfect if you have kids, a nice little family game.
