In 06 they has Gears one, in 07 Halo 3 and obviously Gears 2 for 08. But for 2009 I can't think of a single mega hit game of that caliber comming out on 360. All I hear is Killzone! Killzone! Killzone! I mean Killzone 2 looks to be THE game of 2009. Where is the big X-box 360 exclusive? I can't think of anything offhand.

They will release Halo 3 again.

Honestly, outside of Pikmin 3 and Star Ocean 4, I can't think of any 2009 games I am anticipating... I think Little King's Story comes out Jan 9th, so I guess that counts too.

Microsoft did state they have a lot of unanounced titles in the works for 09. Also, Alan Wake looks great and will be set to go up against heavy rain I'm sure.

I'd say Star Ocean 4, even though it will sell no more than 1 million..... IMO, it looks SO AMAZING just from a few screenshots! This is a game I would buy a Xbox 360 for.

I'm pretty sure if Alan does Wake up in 2009 then that will be the biggie. Apart from that, Halo 3.5 recon or whatever its called.. and maybe Forza 3 if that makes it out by then.

I think MS is actually playing it smart for once, they've kept alot of their cards close to their chest (you can't honestly believe that the announced titles thus far that should appear in 09 can fill out an entire calender year right).

It's been Nintendo's strategy for years now, and it's working pretty well (except maybe a bit more notice would be nice to keep people from saying "nintendo have no core games at the moment").

Sony on the other hand, have basically all their cards on the table now, they've pretty much got a solid-looking title in most of the genre's, but they're by no means guaranteed to be great games sales and review wise.

So Sony have the biggest hype going into 09, but they've also got a much larger fall if those games don't live up to expectation, as opposed to MS or Nintendo, their games haven't generated as much hype because we don't know what they are yet.

Oh and by the way, this happened at the end of 06 start of 07 aswell, everyone was saying "what does MS have other than Halo 3 going into 07" and look how that year turned out for gaming on the platform.
