It could have been PS3's year had 360 not had a price drop which gave them good sales boosts for 10 weeks is it now?

Its been a great year for all console owners, but it certainly hasnt been the year of the PS3 as many round here tout so often.

sweetoothj this phrase is supposed to be used only as a gag at this point, not to be used seriously. Even if the PS3 were to have a "year", the backlash of the boy who cried wolf would never allow it to stick.

Those are some pretty lame reasons. Anyone could come back with as simple reasons as those but for another console.

I think the fact that the PS3 is able to strongly compete with the 360 at twice the price point alone makes it the PS3's year.

36o needed a price drop lack of exclusive games and they know it i got 360 and i like it but this year belongs to ps3 i mean look at sales i know 360 outselling ps3 however but the fact 360 half the price of ps3.

So I assume the Wii and DS are not applicable candidates for this argument?

Bioshock is old news, and Blu-Ray not taking the market by storm is also old news.

Edit: Just for fun I decided to cross out R2, its currently sitting at 88 metacritic which is right smack in the middle of other shooters like COD 5 (Expected score) Far Cry 2, Dead Space etc and unless an exclusive is something special it really doesn't count.

have you seen comercials of dvds their more feature on blu-ray also their exclusive stuff comming out for blu-ray such as collectible Batman the dark knight and more
