Forums - Gaming - How'd You Like Your Game Ending to Be DLC?

Why not trial it with 2 versions on the shelf. £40 for the full retail copy & £25 for a non tradable version with an unlock code to make it work. I would consider buying the cheaper version if it saved me £15, as I never trade in anyway(I still have a copy of Bullet Witch FFS!).

Bulletwitch rocked!

This is one of the main issues I have with DLC.

what's to stop the developer depriving us of standard game features or elements , I never knew they'd go as far as making the game ending DLC , that's just crazy.

They could reduce the cost of retail games however and make the difference up with charing for DLC but that would definetley not make them as much as charging the full price , if some one realises the game is crappy halfway through then they may not want to buy the ending.

 Like Bulletwitch??

I do understand that developers hate the rental and used market. If games had more replayability or a reason to not get rid of it when done, this might not be as big of an issue.

If the developer limits the ability to lend a game to a friend, or trade it back in when done, they are removing value from the title, and it should not be $60.

Very interesting article. I'd like to see the used and rental industry die so vgchartz can track TRUE sales #s lol.

Seriously, I don't mind buying only new games. You can still wait for the price to drop if you don't like the current price or skip a generation and catch up for cheap.

I don't know the best way to enforce this without consumer backlash though.
