The funny thing is that Kazadoom forgot to post this video.

Uh . . . no, he did not say uh.

No, the point is that John McCain has a bad speech habit of his own. I could claim that McCain is a desperate old man who only wants friends, and all the people who hate Bush and like McCain are hypocrites. Doesn't make much sense, ehh?

Well, no, I do not like Bush or McCain so I am not sure of your point Montana.

That both candidates had speech problems.

Goodness.

Kind of like these Obamaisms?

"I'm here with the Girardo family here in St. Louis." --speaking via satellite to the Democratic National Convention, while in Kansas City, Missouri, Aug. 25, 2008

"Let me introduce to you the next President -- the next Vice President of the United States of America, Joe Biden." --slipping up while introducing Joe Biden at their first joint campaign rally, Springfield, Illinois, Aug. 23, 2008

"Just this past week, we passed out of the out of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee -- which is my committee -- a bill to call for divestment from Iran as way of ratcheting up the pressure to ensure that they don't obtain a nuclear weapon." --referring to a committee he is not on, Sderot, Israel, July 23, 2008

"Let me be absolutely clear. Israel is a strong friend of Israel's. It will be a strong friend of Israel's under a McCain...administration. It will be a strong friend of Israel's under an Obama administration. So that policy is not going to change." --Amman, Jordan, July 22, 2008

"How's it going, Sunshine?" --campaigning in Sunrise, Florida

"On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes -- and I see many of them in the audience here today -- our sense of patriotism is particularly strong."

"Hold on one second, sweetie, we're going to do -- we'll do a press avail." --to a female reporter for ABC's Detroit affiliate who asked about his plan to help American autoworkers (Watch video clip)

"I've now been in 57 states -- I think one left to go." --at a campaign event in Beaverton, Oregon (Watch video clip)

"Why can't I just eat my waffle?" --after being asked a foreign policy question by a reporter while visiting a diner in Pennsylvania

This is a good sign. The man does not need to answer every press question or have his meals interrupted to do so. It shows doesn't visit places just for media attention.

"It's not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." --explaining his troubles winning over some working-class voters

THIS is the best quote I have heard from a President, ever. It recognises the real problems in today's America - an obsession with the past (guns), religion, irrational conservativism and out-group hostility. These are valid points.

"The point I was making was not that Grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn't. But she is a typical white person, who, if she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know, you know, there's a reaction that's been bred in our experiences that don't go away and that sometimes come out in the wrong way, and that's just the nature of race in our society."

I like this too. He accepts that racism, etc. isn't going to go away completely because it's biological - hostility towards strangers is an instinct.

"Come on! I just answered, like, eight questions." --exasperated by reporters after a news conference

Same as above.

"You're likeable enough, Hillary." --during a Democratic debate

It's true.

"In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died -- an entire town destroyed." --on a Kansas tornado that killed 12 people

I've highlighed your quotes that don't make sense/are actually positives for Obama.

Therefore ignoring the ones that are idiotic? Typical liberal way of looking at things.

Politicians make lots of stupid mistakes, all he did was pointing out those quotes that weren't stupid at all, don't know how this makes him one of those god forsaken liberals.  Don't be such an ass about it.

Well, anyway, I think that Obamas speeches are generally pretty good. He may have his uhs and stuff, but he totally manages it to make his point clear. Besides, the content is awesome too. I love his speech about a 'more perfect union' .

I think you guys need to give Obama a break. He worked hard to get into the White House, and Joe Biden worked even harder back in old Scranton to put food on his family.

Shame on you.

You're quite the intolerant fellow, aren't you Kaza. I thought the Christian thing to do would be to turn the other cheek, instead of mocking someone else or that person's supporters. Doesn't surprise me though, unfortunately.

As far as Obama's "uh's" go, yeah, he says "uh" a lot. So do I. So do a lot of people I know....

It's not nearly the same as a Bush-isms:

"And they have no disregard for human life." --George W. Bush, on the brutality of Afghan fighters, Washington, D.C., July 15, 2008

"Amigo! Amigo!" --George W. Bush, calling out to Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi in Spanish at the G-8 Summit, Rusutsu, Japan, July 10, 2008

"I can press when there needs to be pressed; I can hold hands when there needs to be -- hold hands." --George W. Bush, on how he can contribute to the Middle East peace process, Washington, D.C., Jan. 4, 2008

"And so, General, I want to thank you for your service. And I appreciate the fact that you really snatched defeat out of the jaws of those who are trying to defeat us in Iraq." --George W. Bush, to Army Gen. Ray Odierno, Washington, D.C., March 3, 2008

"I know how hard it is for you to put food on your family." —Greater Nashua, N.H., Jan. 27, 2000(Listen to audio clip)

"There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again." —Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 17, 2002 (Watch video clip; listen to audio clip)

Stopped after they looped.

Can the bitter tears please stop, or are they going to keep flowing for the next 4/8 years? Maybe you should try clinging to guns or religion. I hear they work wonders for some.

Obama is far from a terrible speaker, and even further from an idiot. Acting like he's incompetent because of a few cherry-picked quotes and interviews is grasping at straws. As someone who is constantly talking to the press and giving speeches, he's bound to have a slip-up here and there. Most politicians do.

"We should be able to deliver bottled hot water to dehydrated babies." - John McCain

See what I mean? I'd post more, but I'd rather not get into a quotes war.
