due to the so called resseccion/depression going on right now, i'm considering skipping new releases this christmas, and just getting older cheaper games for the wii and ds.

any good suggestions for quality i could get on either system for cheap?

go get No More Heroes, its an amazing game and costs only 30 bucks. (Wii)

Mercury Meltdown was cheap and is a quite good game, but I don't know if you can still buy it (new). Resident Evil 4 Wii should be cheap enough. Do you consider buying used games?

Elite Beat Agents price went down a lot in europe. If you like rhythm games, this is a must buy.

Sadly, the best games are from Nintendo and they hardly become cheaper unless it's after a long wait.

Ditto No More Heroes.

Some other cheap games right now would be Bully: Scholarship edition, Kororinpa (or howoever it's spelt), Godfather and Elebits.

Also, get gamecube games.

You can get Resident Evil 4 for 10 dollars used, or 20 dollars on on Amazon. By many claimed to be the best horror shooter ever.

No More Heroes costs 19 dollars new, but I recommend looking it up on Youtube, as it may be a kind of game you don't like.

The Godfather: Blackhand edition is 18 dollars. If you like sandbox games, it is awesome. I think that it is on par with GTA:SA.

Zack & Wiki is 19 dollars new. Awesome puzzle adventure game.

You can get Elite Beat Agents for 8 dollars! That's right. EIGHT, and it's new! Cheap as heck, and I've heard nothing but good about this game. Strongly recommended.

Phoenix Wright TT for the DS is only $20 and it's an excellent game if you like text driven adventure games.

I bought Puzzle Quest for $15 at Target for the DS a while ago. It's an awesome puzzle game with rpg style magic, skills, equipment and story.
