Forums - Gaming - Rumor: Kitase and Nomura will leave square enix after FFXIII.

@papflesje and darthdevidem01:
Exactly! Opinions are opinions. I was just pointing out to Zexen that he talks trash about FFIX even when FFIX is not the subject at hand. Don`t have to get angry or anything...

So did Takashi Suzuki DIE or something?

why isn't he still CEO?

DOWN WITH WADA!

Because something called "Spirits Withn" happened. Also known as one of the movies that lost the most money ever. And when that happens, usually the CEO's asked politely to resign (or he's fired, anyway)

Even if its not the CEO's fault

Even if that very CEO had helped Square-soft become successful.

Well I guess a similar thing happened with Ken Kutaragi.....but still It hink its quite mean!

Well, it's the ways companies are handled. Whenever you incur in a big loss, or the profits decrease, or even if they don't increase as much as they wanted, the shareholders always claim the CEO's head. I don't agree with that, specially whenever you're dealing with a guy who's done much for the company (Kutaragi's a good example), but it's the way capitalism works.

Why must you always express in some way your dislike of FFIX? We get it! You don`t like it! :-p

I thought the game had a lot of charisma, which is something lacking in recent FF games. Stop hating on FFIX!

I don't hate it, I'm just disappointed with it. Still if you think I express too much my dislike of FFIX, you should see other users throw insults at every possible opportunity at FFVII, and me doing the same with Dragon Quest VIII.

You guys are just not into classics. FFIX was like node to every FF fan who was into the series before FFVII. It`s so cliche from beginning to end, you have to be souless or not a fan of pre-VII FF`s not to be moved. Same thing with Dragon Quest VIII.

Pft, opinions differ, get over it.  I don't like FF IX, and I do like FF VI, FF VII, VIII.  So what?

Relating this to your prior comment, Amano designed every single piece of pretty much everything visual in FFVI.

Well, then I must say that I couldn't see his hand in it, especially when I compared it to what was posted in this thread earlier ^^

uhm, the sephiroth and the cloud-pic you've shown me, wouldn't remind of those two chars by a long shot, reminding me more of some vampire game of sorts... so excuse me if I do not relate that kind of picture to any FF I've played.
