^My thoughts exactly.
Which makes me think about all the 80/B reviews R2's getting and the reason for that below-AAA score in almost all of them is the "average single-player campaign". Is this some kind of complot against PS3 BEST shooter so far?
WTF are they talking about "average campaign"?? THE SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGN BLOWS AWAY ANY OTHER CAMPAIGN FROM THE MAJOR AAA FPS released on HD consoles (ahem, except Orange Box, of course) , but COD4? Halo 3? Did those games actually got away with 100 and 10/10 score with SUCH LAME AND SHORT single player campaigns? But oh no, now these bozos are reviewing a PS3 exclusive, a sequel to a game rated above 90 by most of them nontheless, it gets the thumb down because the campaign is "dissapointing" to them.
*Because you can't switch between more than 2 weapons,
*because your NPCs won't win the fights for you like in COD4 booohooooo :'( ,
*because it feels choreographed too much??
*because Insomniac changed too much from the first game. Oh yeah, maybe they should've pulled of an "epic" and just throw us something of the scale of the first game, and just focus on improving the graphics to make it look on par with GeOW2 or the next COD, yeah, that would've been better, even if the multiplayer would've sucked too because of that. /sarcasm.
*because the story is not the next Harry Potter.
*because it's "tame",
*because they wanted the "chameleon chimera" to hunt them down,
*because they wanted Hale to be the next Jude Law,
*because they expected Killzone 2 graphics in a game with massive battles, incredibly detailed environments and hordes of enemies full of his-res textures charging at you and towering bosses (AND ALL THAT SHIT WITHOUT A FLINCH ON THE FRAMERATE) but booohooo they wanted motion blur and other Crysis-like effects to go with all that, boo-hoooo :'(
*because the campaign is sometimes frustrating because you get killed. Now, that's a new one, this could actually be a good point....for F$%66CK's SAKE!
WELL, too bad, too sorry for them! I'm having a blast playing both the single-player and multiplayer modes, and for me the single player campaign's been amazing (and I played on Hard, always), it shreds to pieces Resistance 1, too. No vehicles? no, but this one has huge boss battles and a lot of variety in the stages, bigger, more awesome epic fights, amazing new alien heavy machinery witch makes some battles even more tactical, SUSPENSE, several acts of the game when you'll feel you're playing a game like Bioshock or Fear....incredible water levels (and the water), environment interaction, exploding cars, hiding underwater, running for your life! man, I could go on, this game is fun. I'm gonna stop reading reviews about this game, because seriously I just can't read again on of the things I listed above which believe me, it's what all those suckers are saying about the game. It's their opinion, true, they're entitled to it, but I'm here to tell you GIVE THIS GAME A CHANCE and it will amaze you. Some people who don't play online or play little of it may be turned off by these reviews, and that's all bullshit, you've never played a campaign like R2's and you won't find such exhilarating experience in COD, Halo, or any other FPS this year.
