Forums - General - OBAMA WILL DIE

I know most will probably disagree, but it was ignorance that got Obama elected. ("He's better because he's black" or "I voted Obama because I thought it'd be cool to have a black president)

So I wouldn't be surprised if it was ignorance that got him un-elected so to speak.

I know this is what I was thinking when I pulled the lever while voting.

Strange...it never seemed to work for Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton...oh well, can't let those little facts bother us now can we!

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. I think people were just voting the way they usually vote, and voted for the one they'd rather have a beer with. The majority of the country is like "Whoa, I wonder what it's like to have a beer with a black dude. I'll vote for him and see what he's like." We just had beers with Bush for 8 years, now would we rather have a beer with a younger black dude or a really old white dude?

I'd rather have a beer with an Eskimo dude. Some Eskimo dude should run for President next.

It will be interesting to see what candidates go up in the next election. I wouldn't be surprised if Repub puts up a woman for president. (Especially if Obama does well).

I would recommend a moderate Republican-perhaps Susan Collins? I doubt certain conservatives would tolerate a moderate Republican, but they should remember that she voted to confirm Alito and Roberts. I am not saying I support her, but it would be unwise to nominate Palin as some have suggested.

If Obama does well in his first term I don't know if they'll have much choice about fielding a moderate candidate, if they want to even pretend to be competitive.  But maybe not -- I don't really study presidential campaigns/elections.

My advice to fanboys: Brag about stuff that's true, not about stuff that's false. Predict stuff that's likely, not stuff that's unlikely. You will be happier, and we will be happier.

Yeah even I've heard this rumour, and how America should take care of him, as Kennedy was similar and got shot.

I live in the South and I've heard this on many occasions.  Racism isn't dead, but it no longer concerns a majority of Americans.
