I don't think Home is a Mii ripoff...I don't think most Nintendo fans think that...

I do think it still looks lame though...I don't like the Mii Plaza that much...I like the Miis in general though, since you can use them in games. But Home seems like an unnecessary "Second Life" that gets stale after the whole "virtual reality" feel goes away...

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

i was quoting WiteoutKing about the home mii thing..
and i know most people dont think that.. thats why i replied:
"wow you seriously think home is a mii plaza rip off?....."

and yeah miis are fun, everytime a friend comes over my house we make a mii character that looks like him, then we play tennis and boxing..

but comparing Home to that is not fair.. its like comparing Xbox live to mii, or Home to Xbox live which is an apples and oranges case..

Off topic, but Steven787 can you send me your PSN ID or something please. I wanna add you :)

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

I didn't say Home was a Mii Plaza ripoff. I'm saying they only started talking about Home after the Mii Plaza was unveiled.

I was hoping at least someone noticed the Rose Ball. If only Bill Murray was playable. Especially since Wee Man from jackass is, though I think they increased his Spanish accent by 300%. It's nice to see a game where bikers and 50 year old women get along. That war has been ongoing for far too long, and now they settle their differences with bowling balls, instead of cannon balls.

And that game is hideous. Like a whore with too much makeup, it's not highlighting, just turning gaudy. There's probably some beauty there, but you gotta dig like Dug to get to it.

See Ya George.

"He did not die - He passed Away"

At least following a comedians own jokes makes his death easier.

Lets hope it gets pulled off half as well as Wii Bowling. The best thing about Wii Bowling is they simlify the heck out of everything.

When you get relativly simple games developers always feel the need to add on ridiculious amounts of extra tuning to make it seem worth that "Full price." You get all sorts of pointless options like amount of wax on the lane. It's stupid.

Wii bowling's simplicty is what makes it fun.

That's what makes Wii Bowling the best bowling game since Championship Bowling on the NES. Well that and the motion sensing.

Home isn't a Wii ripoff because everyone should know it's a Second Life ripoff, which only Ben mentioned.
My problem with holding the PS3 controller in the middle is that there's the huge PS button in the middle that you will likely be hitting a lot unless you hold the controller in a way that will cause you to loose your grip on it often.

To cash in my CC rewards points for $300 in Circuit City gift cards to purchase a 360 or not: That is the question.

I think that Home would be nice.....IF

-They upgrade things like avatar anamations to make them look a bit more lifelike than just figures with their arms at side

-They add enough freebies, like Sony's music playing around the place, enough movies being played in the theatre, old reruns of serials that Sony owns such as Seinfeld, etc

-Sony successfully integrates advertising within the Home service.  The majority of the users will be HS, college and the tweens.  Will they be able to not only find companies that want to advertise to these markets, but be able to get enough $$$ to make the Home service cost-effective?  What kinds of things would gamers want to buy?  Energy drinks?  Sneakers?  Maxim?  Secondly, will Sony be able to find advertisng for its movies that it plans to play?  So, the very act of Sony bringing $$$ in from Home would probably encourage them to add a lot more onto the service.  Perhaps, with a good enough marketing effort, Sony could come close to breaking even eventually from all of this, not to mention the increased sales that sony will be getting from the advertising that they will be able to do for BD movies, upcoming games, dig cameras, etc.

-Better games. I realize that to some extent that Home is being purposefully limited by the addition of PSP being a device to play Home from. With the PSP's smaller and cheaper CPU, that will limit what Home can do for the PC and PS3 crowd, as Sony won't want the PSP consumers to have a bad playing experience. But, has Sony at least looked at making the PSP home people stay by themselves so that the PS3/PC Home people aren't limited by what a handheld can handle?

-Sony sponsored and inspired activity. Remember, the whole point of Home to have an interactive experience that console gaming lacks at the moment. They need to make Home a social area if possible. What about Sony hosting something like a trivia contest once in a while? What about other contests or things to get people to come to Home?  What about Sony bringing in a celebrity with a cool kind of image to take a few questions which would later be put on a youtube video?  I could see keanu reeves or brad pitt or mabey even that chick from the 5th element coming on.  If celebrities are cool enough to do this, then hopefully other people might get interested in checking Home out.

It would be cool to put in a randomly generated power-up kind of thing that would actually be a coupon for a free BD movie or whatever. That would get the people using Home to hang around and mabey get into the whole Home thing.

Why do I get the mental picture of someone playing this game and then saying, "Huh huh! Huh! My dudes a midget! Huh huh!"
