Well the Japanese like to have the latest Hardware and the DS is being bought like it was bread so its expected.

PlayStation 4: 12-15million

Xbox One: 7-10 million

Wii U: 8-9 million (Changed 01/04/2014 from 7-9 --> 8-9 million)

Yeah The PS2 and the GBA hold on alot longer in america than they do in Japan. They move on to the next thing so quickly.
