It shouldnt fail that much, but unfortunately it happens i guess. How about my 2nd disc drive failed the night I got the WoTG expansion......talk about being pissed. Lucky for me I found a torrent for the PC version of the expansion and installed it :)

 But from what I understand/and read, the disc drive failure is from buildup around the drive that occurs from prolonged use. Its actually fixable from home, but not recommended because it will void your warranty. I'm thinking that because of how ffxi runs(with disc spinning whole time) that it just speeds up the process of wear and tear quite a bit and thats why the multiple failures.

Big companies do shady shit and yes they do some far fetched things to get/stay at the top. But if you go through life thinking everything you see/hear is a lie that "big business" made up, then yes you are paranoid.

Here's a tip, sometimes, just sometimes...things are exactly what they appear to be and thats all. No alternate agenda, no secret big business spy.

Had it not been for the RROD fiasco, I wonder all of the things Microsoft and the 360 could have accomplished more quickly

And bigger than VGChartz? Correct me if I am wrong, but as of late, VGChartz has been getting lots of attention in the media as of late. In fact, it has been referenced in numerous publications.

VGCHartz is practically a gold mine and I am sure big companies are paying attention.

Sorry to hear that bud, we share your pain. I have had a 360 choke on me. The worst part about it was that mine was not under warranty so I actually had to go out there and pay full price for a new one.

Hope your problem is solved quick so you can get back to the Gears/Fable -age.
