Forums - Sony - Resistance 2 Ending (Spoilers)

This cliff hanger ending kinda ruins my dreams of Resistance 3: modern warfare. Does anybody know if there's an extra ending after the credits (which i skipped) or an extended ending after beating it on the highest difficulty?

That ending really came out of no where, it honestly surprised me... something that doesn't happen too often.

Hale's chimeran infection took him over. It didn't really have anything to do with Daedulaus. But like I said, I'm sure you will play as Hale again in part three but as a clone. You enter a room during the game and see a bunch of Hale clones. I think they put the clones in the game just so there could be a way to play hale in part three as they never did anything with it or even say anything about it in this game, which really shocked me that Hale and his squad enter the room but never ask why there's a hundred Hale clones in the room. They just leave. lol

So they have cloning technology in the 1960s?

You know the part in the game where the doctor and Hale is running from the swarm monster? The doctor told Hale about his former friend (shepard) that got tested on with the original Chimeran samples along with one more test subject. When Hale asked who the other test subject was, the doctor told him "I think you already know". That pretty much explains it.

Oh man, the ending was great IMO. Chimera Hale looks soo bad ass, looks like a junky LOL. It's rare that u see the main character look like that, usually, they go for the strong, cool, handsome guy as the main character, but not a junky looking guy (by the end). "Forgive me sir....It was an honor" was such a great line to end it and BOOM HEADSHOT! My jaw dropped and stayed down for a few minutes, all I could do was smile and say "OH SHIT!! OH SHIT!!"

The last four minutes with Super Hale was awesome. It really reminded me of one of my favorite games of all time, Super Metroid, where at the end Samus gets the hyper beam and is super strong and the planet is exploding. This is just like that so I had a big cheesy smile in my face while playing that, its almost like paying homage to Super Metroid (thats wat I think).

Anyways, Solid_Raiden, wat room with Hale clones are u talking about? Is it the room that theres a whole bunch of naked bald guys in honeycomb looking thing in the ground? If so, they didn't look like Hale clones to me, they looked like bald guys LOL. Well thats just me, in the beginning when they showed Hathorwne, I thought that was Hale or a Hale clone cuz they had the same hair cut and kinda look similar, especially from behind, so maybe thats just me.

Yeah, if you read the intel you'll see that Hale and the guy that became Daedalus were very similar, so in effect Hale was becoming another Daedalus.

And I didn't realize thos were clones of Hale.  I just assumed they were creating their own humans to turn into Chimera, kind've like how they create humans for energy in the Matrix.

You find out in some of the intel you find just a little beforehand. Or at least it's heavily hinted in the intel.

The intel is really awesome stuff.

I Think you wont play as Hale in R3, i think insomniac will create a new, more emotional character.

This is insomniacs best game
