It's better than the Gamepro's list that's for sure and I never tried DQVIII how is it btw?

Critics seem to realize now that DQVIII is just not that great. A lot of the gameplay mechanics have been (mostly) abandoned by other RPG series for a reason.

Absolutely hideous. By far (and I don't say this lightly, I really believe what I'm saying) the worst JRPG I've ever played. The most cliched story ever and a battle system that's just so NES that's unbearable

Pretty good list. I can't comment on Suikoden and Xenosaga though. Never played it. It's way better than Gamepro's. Make sure to reserve a spot for Persona 4 in the top 5.

Totally agree with the "nes battle system" argument, but there are even worst jrpg: blue dragon and enchanted arms :s

I respect that, but it's incredible that no one mentions it when in previous threads it was all praise (especially Level-5 threads)... I personally love it, not at DQ3 level, but still...

As for DQ3, i know more people know it for Dragon Warrior III, and most haven't even played it, but i think it deserves a spot...
