Wow, playin psone FF's in 2008 may not be a good idea. I tried to play VII once again last summer, and oh god, I love this game so much, but it's boring and unplayable today.

But I hope you'll enjoy it lol

FFVII is vey dated because the game isn't that great to begin with and the graphics were even shit when the game was first released (just because you can make something in 3D doesn't mean you should).

FFVI though isn't dated.  The sprites and background are still beautiful and the story and characters are still just as fantastic.  Those sprites express more emotion than most characters in fully rendered cut scenes do today.

I was only talking for ff VII to ffIX ;)

2D will always be playable!

FFIX unplayable? I just played it 30 minutes ago and I'd say it's pretty playable...

FF Viii was my first final fantasy game and yea its great..
But where is the hype for that?

There's not so much hype for it because many people think that it's one of the worst FF's ever, take for excample one of my favorite reviewers Spoony. Spoony has made a very long review on FFVIII (8 or so parts), and many of the people that comments on his vids seem to agree...

Oh and BTW, FFVII was a great game.

If you thought FFVIII was great the rest of the games can only go up for you.
