Holy hell @ Wii.
Hmm these numbers don't make any sense. PS3 had lots of new bundles and a shead load of advertising these past few weeks for LBP but yet they drop 4k units to just 65k? I think PS3 has no option but to drop the price now or they are in deep deep trouble. Next week you would expect the Gears 2 release to boost 360 sales. Could be a very bad next few weeks for Sony.
| Groucho said: The supply of the Wii now outpaces the demand, if you go by Reggie's 2.4mil/month numbers. At this rate, the Wii looks to be under 2mil/month, in terms of demand (which is phenominal!), but at last Nintendo can supply the units necessary, and with room to spare. It looks like any extra Wiis provided now will get eaten up in december, if typical sales patterns apply. |
Quite the contrary my friend, I think the Wii is not yet close to reaching demand, and Christmas will prove that. As for 40m being a nail-biter, I think (my opinion here) the Wii will be at 42.5m by the years end.
Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. " thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."
Pretty good numbers all around, and i find all the numbers amazing.
Nintendo - amazing in general. Just huge staggering numbers week after week. With no real big games. Casual softcore domination.
360 - amazing that they are beating PS3 worldwide regularly still when pretty much all of us thought those days were over, short of the week or two after a huge release or a price drop.
PS3 - amazing that they are keeping pace despite the price differences in many territories.
And amazing that the numbers are staying so high across the board with economic woes globally.
In short: Amazing.
Another interesting statistic is that the 360 is actually now only 200k away from being 6m units ahead of the PS3 again.
It's amazing 360 still won WW with LBP launching in two areas.
| Jackson50 said: The 360 has maintained a fairly consistent lead over the PS3 the past two months. The Wii has seen marked increases every week for the past four weeks. As this will come as a shock to most people, it appears as if the Wii is going to be the best selling system of the upcoming holiday period. |
360 didnt maintain shit! didnt you see microsofts and sonys quarter reports? ps3 outsold 360. anyway when is NPD for the month?

A little touchy aren't you. When Sony's big holiday release comes out, I except the system to sell. Actually I expected it to sell a lot more then it did.
